THQ has now released a new patch for Relic's 3D RTS Warhammer 40K: Dawn of War. This update brings your retail game to v1.3 and addresses a slew of tweaks & unit balancing for all 4 races, game performance improvement, bug fixes, ability fixes and adds Observer mode, mod manager, friends list etc..

BTW.. if you want to avoid clicking throiugh 20 pages and a few pop ups .. fileplanet has it as well.

sweet! i've not played this awhile, i'm hoping this or the expansion might finally make me load it up again. still trying to find someone willing to help me convert it into a turn-based game a-la TT style.

Awesome! I'm glad they nerfed the shit out of the orks-- no one played them anyway, but on the couple occasions where they did, it was annoying. Now, I'll never have to deal with anyone playing them.

How good IS this game?
I still haven't found an RTS to replace Total Annihilation with.

It's actually pretty good. I agree about TA being probably my favourite RTS ever, up there with the original C&C (though that looked pretty awful when I downloaded it the other day). I'm a fan of the 40k universe anyway, so If you aren't, then I might not be the best person to give advice, but I like the way it's been designed to encourage as much conflict as possible. And the sides are quite different, which is always a plus.
