I haven't played it in a while, but Phantom Dust was my favourite game of last year. Especially now you can get it for 20 dollars or some such. The single player is fun, but the real meat of the game is in the multiplayer of course. Aside from just being a great game, I think it has a wonderful visual style, very close to the Panzer Dragoon series (of which some of the staff worked on).

You're really missing out if you don't have it, but be prepared to lose A LOT when you get online.

I just picked up Phantom Dust the other day and I am really liking it so far. I am not too far in it though, just got to the part of the game where you can start customizing your arsenal (or deck) but so far so good. I am really wanting to go online with it as I hear that's where the real fun of the game is.

Phantom Dust is pretty cool. It's got a pretty neat art style and it's rather fun to play. I just wish I had Live so I could actually get to the really fun parts.

Phantom Dust Turbo GT is incredible. I spent 30 hours on the single player campaign and another 70 online (so far) and I'm more than happy with my 20$ purchase. It does take some time to increase your gaming skill to compete online and you will lose alot when you start, just spend that time how watching others defend and what skills they use and you'll see progress in no time.

Stay out of those Japanese games though, those guys are geniuses at the game. Good luck beating them. Stick with the dumb Americans.

Phantom Dust is f'in amazing. It's real-time Magic: The Gathering gameplay in the world of Akira. Leaping from apocalyptic freeways and lauching attacks from the air, bringing down parts of the terrain to crush opponents, flinging loose objects with your telekinetic powers... IT'S AWESOME!!!

And 2vs2 online with a buddy is nirvana.
