GAF (http://www.gamesarefun.com/news.php?newsid=7159) points us over to Gamespot (http://www.gamespot.com/news/6160951.html?tag=latestnews;title;0) with news that EA is working on the sequels to The Sims, SimCity, and Black while another Lord of the Rings game is in the works. In addition The Sims is making its way to the Wii and PS3.
"Yes, there's a Sims 3 in development and it's likely to be a fiscal '09 title," said Jenson, meaning the game would hit stores before April 2009. The executive also confirmed that the Sims franchises will also be coming to two next-generation platforms--the Wii and the PlayStation 3.
Also to note that Crysis has been delayed.

Thanks to Phanto and H.Bogard for a similar submission.

It's WONDERFUL that we will get Sims 3 but Spore will be delayed. Fuck you, main-stream.

Oh well, it's a business.

Is it just me or does it seem almost embarrasing to still be making Lord of The Rings games?

Crysis has been delayed until there is a significant installed-base of PCs that are able to run the game. No sense in selling the game today if only 1000 people have machines capable of running it.

I can't believe that they would not bring the Sims franchise to the 360. Something does not add up.

And I suppose you've tested the game already? How are you so sure about it's scalability? I expect only the best quality from my experience with Crytek.

Considering it covers the gambit of DX9 cards...that is a significant install base. Do you think John and Joan Q shit Dell have even heard of this game?

So Sims is coming to Wii and Playstation 3, but not the 360? That strikes me as odd.

Well, for the PS3, any Sims titles will be back-compat.

Sorry for the confusion. I was being a smart-ass. Next time I'll be sure to make it more outrageous, so it is easily understood. I'll probably include one of these as well --> :D

Official word on the delay: http://incrysis.com/forums/viewtopic.php?pid=27559#p27559

The reason of the Crysis delay is simple. We do not want to rush the game out - we will release it when both EA and Crytek are happy with the quality. I've said that already a couple of weeks ago and I just can underline that.

We are still trying our best to get Crysis done in time which is definitely achievable.
