Picture proof is here from The Destructoid (http://www.destructoid.com/ps3-playable-at-toys-r-us-times-square) that Toys R' Us in Times Square NYC has a playable PS3 demo unit.

OH nice...I'll be heading into the city monday for something, and planned on swinging by Toys R' Us for the Lost Action figure thing...this is perfect.

They had three units that were unplayable, nothing happening. Only one was playable when I was there at about 1 p.m.

Man. I wish I lived near Times Square. Then I could visit it, to find out that on the PS3, you can run around and shoot dudes in EVEN HIGHER RESOLUTION.

Why do you say that? The monolithic kiosks do exist, in Japan. They are unplayable kiosks. There are also different, playable kiosks that don't look like the dark lord's tower.

Believe they're Best Buy specific, has nothing to do with Japan.

They're probably empty boxes. Actially having four playstations there would mean they couldn't launch in like 4 countries.

The ones that I know of that were shown here on Evil Avatar look like they were striped from the heart of Mordor. They were unplayable and Japanese.
