Just noticed that there is a count down timer on the Rainbow Six site (http://www.rainbowsixgame.com/us/) that's counting down to the R6Vegas single player demo on XBL marketplace coming tonight.

I'm looking forward to trying it out. I no longer have an OCM subscription so have been waiting for it to hit marketplace (U.S.). Too many good games coming out in the next couple of months.

Played it on the OXM demo disk, very cool. Although enemies are pretty daft at times. I have walked up on several of them and unloaded standing right next to them.

I presume this is the same demo that non-American regions got a few days ago?

Have fun. :)

Is this different than the European one? Hope so. I already made a Europe account and downloaded it.

Great demo, only hampered by some slowdown at the very end of the demo.

Yeah, I noticed the same thing. I'm typically more interested in multiplayer, so that might not matter much. I like their cover system. The rope stuff is fun. Can't wait to try the face mapping.

Previews have been positive so far.

I almost bought the OXM when it came out, figured I'd wait. Almost bought it again yesterday, decided to wait. I'm glad I did. :)

This game is good...real good. I love the demo. Picking this up day 1 for sure.

If I was home, I'd be excited. Since I'm off on business and a few hundred miles from my x360, I'm just pissed I'm not there. Ah well, I'll be home in a few days.

Seriously, don't by OXM anymore. I've polished off my shoes to dance on their grave last year and I'm itching to use them.

Is it just me, but I can't make out the countdown. Is something wrong with the hours meter?

I'll be selling my copy of GRAW to get this game, I think.

I just happened to finish Splinter Cell: Double Agent last night, so this is perfect timing!! Woo-hoo!

The demo is pretty good, though I've never played a Rainbow 6 game in my life. I enjoyed ordering my teammates around.

BTW in the future if a demo is initially region locked (like this one) you can just create a Silver account in some other region. I used my Japanese account to get the demo.

I didn't renew my subscription after I saw how redundant the first batch of 360 demos were. I haven't bought one since and am not planning on it.

I pre-ordered R6 from Amazon for only $40 based on what other people thought of the demo. Now I get to see if I like it. :D

And at that price, I don't think I can go wrong.

Aww...I wish I could get a deal like that. Was it a onetime special or something?

Those old days are dead and gone buddy, best get used to it. Did you try the demo by chance? It is a throwback to older/better RB6 games. Cover is an absolute must, run and gun=dead.

The price was wrong and they have thus changed it back to $59.99. Sorry bone :(

As a fan of the original PC series (especially Rogue Spear), I have only one word:

Awesome, absolutely awesome. It doesn't have to be exactly the same game to still be great.

Ok, that's just a bit more than one word.

Intruder, I don't know about laws in the US of A but here in the cold north, if a company sets a price, even by mistake, they have to sell it for the given price.

something is fubar with it in my browser too, looks like 70+ hours, with the singles column fluctuating rapidly.

I don't know, but this isn't the first time Amazon has done this, and you end up paying the new price, or canceling your order.

I think it was a price mistake. They rose the price shortly after I ordered. www.cheapassgamer.com is your friend. ;D

I just checked my order, still at $39.99, no tax, and prime shipping. They have it as coming out Dec. 5th though, so I'd get it the 7th. Not sure if that will hold or if they will ship when it comes out.

I bought the OXM mag for $10 just to play this demo. I guess that answers the question of, "who the hell would pay Sony for demos?". Me, I guess...

I'm sure Luke Smith and others, would say, "You're ruining it for everyone! Just quit buying crap on marketplace...". It's all shades of gray. If Sony charges you to download a demo, what's the difference between that and paying $10 for the OXM CD, just to play a demo?

I've always been a big fan of convenience. America is big on drive thru's. Drive thru banks, drive thru burger joints, drive thru coffee shops and even drive thru divorces (in Vegas).

Microwaves seem to sell well too. That's why I buy so many arcade games... It's easy to click, "buy" at a weak moment, when you've had a beer and are looking for something new. And you know what. I don't care, it's worth $5 or 400 points, because, I'd blow $20 on two Margarita's with tip if I was at a bar, so why not blow $5 on an arcade game. Or $5 for a demo. I know I'll do that too. I'm the problem. I admit it. I'm so ashamed... :D

Oh, and I got $10 worth of fun out of the Rainbow Six demo too. It's pretty good.

I used to work in retail for a large chain. We weren't required by law to sell a $4,000 TV for $4, because of a typo in an ad. Mistakes are allowed. Pre-meditated false advertising is not, but it takes a series of errors to build a case. Much like sexual harrassment laws. One comment won't get you busted. String a bunch together over time and you're liable.

If that weren't the case, then a single disgruntled employee could put Best Buy out of business with a typo in an ad for $5 PS3's, limit 1 million per customer. :D

Played this baby from as far back as the "Bringing It Home" period. I've been playing it nonstop since, and am strongly considering a purchase. :D

yeah the sites doing to me as well, cept it the hours minutes and seconds. i didint plan on touching my 360 until i was done with FFXII. but i have REALLY been awaiting this demo. because i have only one game to buy this month and it's going to come down to R6V or GoW. although ultimately its MP is what im sure to base my purchase on.

Anyone else download the demo? I just completed it. It's on the US LIVE btw.

At first I was a bit frustrated as I haven't played a Rainbow Six game in a long time. Then I got the hang of it and had a lot of fun. It's a bit frustrating sometimes handling the guys and finding enemies, but it's really fun and I really feel like I'm in the game. Graphics are nice, and the controls are pretty intuitive after getting used to them.

Only downsides I found was that aiming can be very difficult and twitchy, and there are problems with slowdown which can cause problems especially when you are storming a room and trying to kill people.

Aside from that I'm really looking forward to this, although I want to try it on PS3 as well just to see if there's a difference.
