UT 2007 Title Official And Screenshots

Midway has confirmed that Unreal Tournament 2007 will be the official title of the next installment in the UT series. Also there are three wallpapers/screenshots (http://www.gamona.de/index.php?sektion=suche&game=1164&show=screenshots) out now showing great in-game scenes. Hi-res versions are available, but only via GameWallpapers (http://www.gamewallpapers.com/) for E14.95.

The guns of UT keep getting more ridiculous looking over time. Sweet, sweet graphics. But damn those dorky looking guns and huge boots.

Not slagging on the Epic guys, but still over 18 months away, and lots happens on the PC graphics scene in that time period.

I liked the chracters in the orignial ut. They were lightly armored skinny looking people. But now they are all huge warhammer 40kish space marine type guys. :( bring back skinny people....

Those pictures were taken from some magazine scans released a few months ago if I'm not mistaken.

I really dig the character designs, although I don't want them all to be wearing huge armour, make some wear different stuff like robes or jackets.

So far it looks like the characters keep with one scene, which sucks.
Mind you this is reletively early, I hope we see more tribes in the game, complete with different attributes (i.e. skinny guy takes less damage, but are faster. Like in UT2K3)

but the game looks amazing, they are the only online games that i will play.

Well look at UT2k3 and 2k4 - they were pretty similar games, but 2k4 added new game modes, vehicles, models and maps. To make up for the fact that they were quite similar they gave you a discount on 2k4 if you owned 2k3. Those were one year apart, the upcoming game is 3 years on. I think there'll be plenty of new stuff, and they'll probably do the discount scheme again if it's that similar.

Mind you, I'll still just play deathmatch whatever happens...

I hope that something alone the lines of Unreal 2 XMP gets into this one. I loved that game.
