Destinations Games, which is Richard Garriot's own development team at NCsoft, have finally made an update to their webpage for Tabula Rasa. The changes comes as an ominious black and white logo on a black backgound with a few paragraphs of information.

For a long time now, fans of Richard Garriot and Tabula Rasa have been in total dark as to what is happening with the game due to a complete lack of website updates and media blackout. Last year Richard had decided to redesign the game from the ground up and it appears that they are ready for E3. It says a lot about a game designer when he scraps the whole game and restarts it, I'm just not sure what exactly has been said. All that I know is I want to see this thing right now.

Find the website here (http://www.playtr.com/).

It says that they want to get it right. Two games that were created, scrapped and then were started over from scratch: Half Life and Resident Evil 4.

Damn it Richard!

Screw working on another MMORPG, I have WoW for that itch.

Make us a new Ultima (and yea, I know he doesn't own the IP anymore). Just make sure it doesn't suck donkey shlong like the last Ultima. Maybe I'll go dig out my old Ultima collection this weekend.

Wow = Fantasy... bleh

The original game was destined to be another example of a failed MMO. I mean the graphics were sub par and the mechanics were not all that great sounding either (ie nothing to distinguish it from other MMOs). So really this is the only reasonable decision they could come to. Still got to give them props for doing it though, most other companies just stick their heads in the sand or stop development all together.

This news is a couple weeks old, at least. What's with the old news guys?

I stopped checking the website a couple months ago since it was never updated, ever. So, since E3 is right under our noses I decided to take a look. It was never reported anywhere I'd seen and so far anyone I have asked hasn't heard anything until now, so it seems like news to most.
