This whole PSP "content" business is going to crash sooooo hard. Even on Japanese TV, the reporters were having a laugh at PSP UMD movies. Didn't anybody pay attention a couple of years ago when we would all buy eBooks?

A lot of people do buy ebooks, especially people with PDAs / PPCs.

None the less, I don't need sites to provide me with premium content for my PSP. I'd rather do it myself with content I already own... it couldn't be simplier.

Hey, it's free stuff. I'm not complaining as long as it stays at that magic price.

I've read comics on my computer before... and it was hard enough to make out the text on my monitor. I can't even imagine what it'd be like trying to read it on a little screen like that...

I can read manga fine on my 320x240 Pocket PC, there's certainly no reason it can't be done on the PSP. May not be the best way, but it works if you want it to.

Here's a good example:

Manga or newspaper strips might make sense for this, as the art styles tend to have lower detail levels. I know there's no way I'd read comic books this way. There is no way Promethea or Planetary art is going to reduce to that level of detail well, and it's not feasible to break down pages to panels either.

It's actually quite readable. I scanned an issue of Deadpool and, despite the PSP taking a moment to process/depixelate, the quality is nice. Text is very legible. Only problem I had is that the pages aren't in order, even when I renamed the pages in numerical order.
