TeamXbox (http://www.teamxbox.com/) has posted their review (http://reviews.teamxbox.com/xbox/943/Star-Wars-Episode-III-Revenge-of-the-Sith/p1/) of Star Wars: Episode III Revenge of the Sith and have given it a 7.9 out of 10. Here's the gist of the review for those who don't want to read the entire article...
Revenge of the Sith isn’t perfect by any means. The gameplay gets a tad boring at times and the voice-over work is some of the worst I’ve seen in a long while, but that absolutely does not mean that Star Wars and action game enthusiasts alike should not go out and buy this game right away. The amount of superbly crafted unlockables and wonderfully chilling moments is almost enough to make you forget about the numerous technical ailments. Regardless if it is a slightly misshapen circle, it is nonetheless, a complete one.
Anyone get this yet? Is this review on target?

It was a toss up to get this or the Lego Star Wars and so far I have to say I am happy with my choice of Lego Star Wars.

I went out Tuesday looking for someplace selling Forza and almost picked up Lego Star Wars instead.. figured it really would not give me any lasting gameplay though and decided to wait for a cheap used copy later on. I was going to give this a rent as it looked pretty decent from the commercials I have been seeing for it but I finally picked up Forza Wednesday and that will take up my gaming time for a few weeks.

It is a bit short; I went through Episode 1 in a few hours last night. But if you are someone who has to unlock everything in a game, then you'll put some time into the title. Is it worth $40? I thought so, it's a fun, lighthearted game with the simpler controls that harkens back to the days of SNES for me. But then again, I am a Star Wars geek.

IGN slammed the title, giving it a dismal 4.5 I believe. If anyone is up for a laugh, you should then read the first page of the review, needlessly sarcastic as it pokes fun at the game's obviously rushed development cycle.
Playing it right now and loving it. Of course, I'm a Star Wars fan boy, but to tell you the truth most, if not all of the SW games lately have SUCKED.
KOTOR is okay, but I'm not big on slow-paced RPGs, so the best SW game as of late for me has been Republic Commando. I say this to give you guys some idea where my heads at.
It's a very cool action game. It's not God of War, but pretty close for a Star Wars game. The battles feel good, with the controls being classic Collective (I played Buffy and Indy too).
The Force powers feel GREAT! I love tossing things around, smashing them, exploding them, throwing them into other things.
The backgrounds on some levels are AMAZING! The stuff going on in the backgrounds is more than what's going on in the game.
The duels are AWESOME. You FINALLY feel like a Jedi! No more Sabers-by-numbers like in KOTOR and none of that cheesy Saber-flail like in Obi-wan or Jedi Academy. It's straight up Soul Calibur with Sabers. AWESOME!
Problems? It's short. Play it on HARD mode to get your $ out of the single-player. There's a lot of stuff to unlock, but if all you care about is signle-player, put it on HARD mode. Also, there's no ROTS music. It's all remixed OT & PT music.
It's an ACTION game...it even says it on the box, so people need to factor that when they look at it and score it. It's WAY BETTER than ROTK and it's Star Wars dammit!
I'd give it a 7.5/10 (8, really but again I'm a SW fanboy :p)

Yeah, read that review. It's crap. Clearly the guy has something against Star Wars, Lucas Arts or more than likely The Collective. He's probably buddies with somebody that was fired off the dev team and is just slamming it.
If he had wrote a coherant, unbiased review that then slammed the game with your standard slam score like 6/10, then you could listen to him, but 4.5?!? It's not Bruce Lee(Xbox)!
I stand by my 7.5 and he's an assclown. :p

I have a friend who got it, and the light saber duels are the best part of the game. Its possibley better then the single player. Some one above me compared it too Soul Caliber, its not has a good as Soul Cailber. But its the closest your going to get.
Its also full of cut scenes from the movie.

To me it feels like the lotr games, maybe more rotk, but with a star wars mod applied to it, and then made crap. But it is star wars and it does have some interesting clips from the film. Apart from that it doesn't really compare to the might of lego star wars.

I picked it up yesterday and so far I love it. It plays a lot like Jedi Power Battles did. Lots of hack n slash comboing action and upgrading abilities with xp. I almost didn't pick it up because I wasn't sure if it would spoil the movie for me or not. Then I decided that there's not much to spoil in the movie, I mean, we know Anakin become an evil bastard, kills everyone, gets left for dead on a volcano and becomes Darth Vader. Plus so far it looks like they use the movie footage pretty judiciously.

I went in inquiring but found out IGN's ratings on it and then picked up Forza and Doom3 on sale. I'm happy I didn't get it, and Lego Star Wars and Republic Commando are still the cream of the crop when it comes to this years "Star Wars" games.

I read gamespy's preview which made it sound really cool, something about a nice extra where you play as anakin, and if you win the final duel against obe, there's a nice alternate ending.

Hmm... After reading the IGN review I figure this is on par with some of the earlier Prequel games, but I didn't realize it was by The Collective. I loved the Buffy games.
Sigh. I'll still rent this rather than buy it, but it's a moot point given that I'll not be getting it either way till after I see the movie.
I agree that the games that aren't tied to strictly retelling one of the movies have been pretty good of late. I enjoyed both KOTOR's and Republic Commando was awesome, if a little short.
I still think that if you want good lightsaber battles you have to go with the Jedi Knight games. Mmm... yummy...
Why would anyone buy this? More garbage published by a formerly great games company. Do you really think this is the best game available right now? In a few months, this will be long forgotten. Save your scratch.
You buy it, like anything else, to enjoy it bait.
One of my favorite games, I beat in ONE NIGHT, Resident Evil 2!
Would I recommend people NOT buy it because I beat it in one night?!
No, that's ludicris! It was fun and felt much better than the oh-so-much-more-but-oh-too-long Code:Veronica.
People are forgeting these things are games and they're meant to be fun. ROTS *IS* FUN and it's a great compliment to the movie, so it's well worth the $40-$50.
Length of the game has nothing to do with it. I beat Loom in less than a day, but it's one of Lucasfilm's best adventure games.
It's that this game smacks of laziness and sounds like something you've already bought & played before in a better version. It's a game that gets a free ride because it's tied to a movie people want to see rather than a game that people want to play on it's own merits.
Bait, what's better?
ROTK? LOTR? Those games were tedious and hard to cover up their shortness. The controls sucked too. The combos didn't make any sense.
Death by Degrees? Demonstone? Nanobreaker? All tedious, don't look as good, have horrible cameras, horrible controls, uninteresting objectives or gameplay.
DMC3? Too hard and suffers from a ton of the things that are in ROTS; invisible walls, enemies off-screen, etc.
best game of this genre is God of War. Is ROTS God of War? No. But it's no 4.5.
BTW, I don't think anyone was "lazy" on ROtS. You want to see lazy, look at LucasArt's previous games; Obi-wan, Bounty Hunter, Jedi Power Battles, etc.
