Following up on a misleading GameStop listing, GamersReports.com is reporting (http://www.gamersreports.com/news/3817/) directly from Betheseda's Pete Hines that the inevitable Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion expansion pack will not be called Knights of the White Stallion, which is an in-game quest.
There’s no expansion in development called Knights of the White Stallion. That’s the name of a quest in Oblivion.
Right now we have no announced plans for any new content, add-ons, or expansions. If that changes, we’ll let folks know.
A misleading GameStop listing? Who woulda thunk it.

All I want..nay all I pray for is an Oblivion MMORPG.

Please, no more MMORPGs. Of course it's coming, just a question about when. I'm hoping for a longer storyline and shitloads of new equipment.

I hate MMOs, and don't think we need any more...ever!
What I would like to see is eight player (give or take) co-op play for Elder Scrolls 5.
Just you and a few friends running around a huge persistant world with instanced dungeons and a difficulty level set by the amount of players that zone in.

You'd have to run it like a First Person Shooter server in that case, to get the persistance - and THEN instance dungeons and whatnot.
I can see that being quite fun, though.

Sorry, I didn't like Oblivion. I won't get into details, but there were a number of concepts that carried over from Morror-wind that are, probably essential Elder Scrolls concepts, that I don't enjoy in an RPG.
Anyhoo. If they could make a western flavoured RPG with eastern flavoured RPG teamplay: that would be cool. From my experience FPS/iso FPS doesn't lend itself to being a tightknit teamplay environment.

He's skating by with semantics.
Of course there's no White Stallions expansion.
Its real name is: Knights of the Wyld Stallyns
/excellent!

I'm sure there's an expansion coming, or at the very least a boxed pack with all the Oblivion content released to date.

Meh. have no idea if you're going to read this however..
I don't like companies that hire out actors for their voice.. just for a few lines.. just so they can say they are in the game. For example, Jon Irenicus from BG2 was an excellent use of a good actor: what limited dialogue he possesed was important and engaging.
Sean Bean and Patrick Steward added nothing to Oblivion.

I know Dungeon crawls ala D&D are the same, you go in through the door, clear out the monsters and get your exp/gold/better gear. However, a world map filled with trapdoors isn't very thoughtful. It does the job, but it's ugly.
I don't like scaleable monsters or dungeons. Zoned areas are more fun,
I wasn't fond of the character leveling system: I don't want to perform 70 minutes of silly dialogue to get my speech up, or let a monstet wail on my shield for 20 minutes to get my blocking up. The repair skill was fine: I buy an item and 5 hammers later, I get results that aren't tedious. Give me points, and I will distribute them.
The quests and storys are fine, but the main storyline was not very compelling if I could just ignore it.
NPCs. I didn't like them talking. "So.. I saw a mudcrab" "Oh.. those vile things".. ugh.
The game looked pretty, and I did enjoy it more than Morrowwind. It's kind of like a pretty ugly girl. She might have nice parts, that you can appreicate alone, but when you put them together it's not nice.
