In what must be one of the most interesting twists on the MMORPG genre, Damon Grow has decided to try and independently produce the world's largest MMO game - and then some.

Check out more here (http://games.net/features/112341.shtml), courtesy of Games.net (http://games.net), or you can peruse an interview with Damon Grow here (http://www.firingsquad.com/news/newsarticle.asp?searchid=10791), courtesy of Firing Squad (http://www.firingsquad.com/).

Creating an MMORPG with an all volunteer team is hard enough. Having to create it while a camera crew is following your every move would seem to add on to the challenges. However that's exactly what Damon Grow decided to do with his company Shattered Reality Interactive. He and his time are trying to make their MMORPG Kaos War under the cameras for Creating Kaos, a new web video reality series that launched its first episode on Games.net last Friday and will continue on a weekly basis. FiringSquad got a chance to chat with Grow about both Kaos War and Creating Kaos.
I'm not that interested in the genre as a whole, but this has some potential! Good luck to the team working on it.

He loved Shadowbane. Hopefully his MMORPG pulls a lot from that, and adds just a bit more (aka any) end game content. Now that would be a game to challenge WoW. :D

I suppose the logic is to combine two trends that suck and come up with one that doesn't suck. Good luck with that.

Lets hope it doesn't lead to a generic game, Form the preview I saw, there wasn't much of a story as much as any lore at all.

I hate reality TV, but I love video games and video game documentaries....

Maybe if I only watch this show while playing DS it'll be ok...

Oh man, this is bad...very bad.

Now they're creating videogame/reality tv hybrids.

He certainly doesn't lack the passion, and his goal may be pretty hopeless, but this is very interesting.

I was on the team for a short period of time, but the way us "free workers" are treated, forget about it. Being energetic is good and all, but when you're stuck up with yourself and your goal, the fun of it fades. He actually said that I was one of many. My work was great and all, but I would quit, but he'd get another to do it after that. I laughed my ass off... and quit. I'd better get back at doing it more where I get payed instead...
