Gametrailers has posted two new movie files from Activision's upcoming Xbox 360, Playstation 3 and Wii shooter, Call of Duty 3. Movie 1 (http://www.gametrailers.com/player.php?id=12470&type=mov), Movie 2 (http://www.gametrailers.com/player.php?id=12472&type=mov).
Thanks Guy Marino for a duplicate post.

That second video looks amazing.
My faith in Treyarch has been restored.

Errrr nevermind I can't find the PR stating it's coming to the PS3 also.

Why are you shooting at Allied player models in the movie? :)

It's also coming out for PS3, edit your newspost.
It isn't my news post. ;)

It is coming out for the Xbox 360, Playstation 3 and Wii. That is confirmed from Activision. I just put Xbox 360 in the post since that is about the only system that most people will get to play it on due to the shortages of PS3 and Wii systems in November when the game comes out.
The only system that isn't getting Call of Duty 3 is the PC. :)

At the end of the trailer is shows Xbox, Xbox360/Live, Wii, and Playstation logos... I guess it doesn't necessarily mean PS3 but the newspost should add the Wii!

Axis are actually wearing dark grey with camouflage vest/rain jacket overtop in close up scenes. Allies wear a lighter green shirts with no camouflage and light brown pants.
Does this mean too much details might not be a good thing?

I was looking at the helmets. It sure looked like the Axis in the first movie was wearing the regular rounded Allied/US helmet and not the standard German square helmets.

The think the videos were from the PS3 Version due to the 'X' button Icon that appears.

Ah I see. It's not that distinct when they are moving, you're right, but if you freeze the video, you realize it is square. It's more confusing in the first video because all the helmets have the same green color on them.
My eyes were more focussed on why the avatar's hands are so dirty.

They don't have the ear guards like the standard German helmets do and actually look like the Delta Force helmets as seen in Blackhawk Down. The FJ were pretty much a ground force after what happened at Crete, and were deployed as elite troops to both the eastern and western fronts.

Mike Jones is a weird name for a troll, they usually have names like Bloodgore Razorgard, or something weird like that. Are you really a person just trying to pretend he is a troll?

I'm not sure I can play any more of this series. I say that now, but I'll probably get all 1000 achievement points on this one, too :(.

Looks nice and all, but it has a "been there, done that" feel to it...as in, I feel like ive already played this game a few times before. Will most likely pass this one up.

If the X was in a blackish grey circle and had light blue coloring then it would be a Playstation button. But the X button in that video was big and blue, which is a Microsoft standard so it was the 360 version.

This is pretty much what I was thinking. Not only that, but the video showed that my hugest gripes were still there:
1) The AI will fire at the main character over everyone else.
2) You can absorb half the munitions of the German army without dying.
3) You still have to win the war yourself.
4) You can shoot a guy in the lungs, and he'll stumble and then come at you again.
This looks/feels/etc's like Call of Duty: Expansion 4! .. or 5 or whatever it'd be.

The game currently works much slower on a PS3 compared to X360. They are not stupid so they won't use the PS3 version for any current trailers regardless of the artwork

No matter how it looks, it won't be better on the PS3. I doubt they will get close to the 360 framerate until release and these days the PS3 version is much slower (most developers currently have problems with their PS3 performance catching up to same thing running on the 360 - Call of Duty folks are in the same situation). Also the 360 has more memory (its OS reserves runtime much less memory than the PS3 OS) available for the game plus the unified architecture makes things even more flexible. So, don't expect Call of Duty 3 for PS3 to be better looking or running than the 360 version - it is just not possible unless you put shitty textures or break something in the 360 build ...

Yay! A brand new troll! Woohooooo! :(
btw, everything you've said on these forums so far is 100% incorrect or FUD. Enjoy the trolling, Mr. 9 posts.

Drive to Treyarch up in Santa Monica and see for yourself :) If the framerate of the current Call of Duty 3 PS3 build is better than the X360 or looking nicer I will buy you a truckload of beer right there. Alas, it isn't :P

Ha, I am troll because I am not spending all my time in the forums? :)
About my previous posts - the situation with the emulator changed because sony figured out it won't work and switched to a backup plan to use the chips. Back at the time I posted their current plan was to go with an emulator. Now it is too late to change anything with the console though - it is finalized and the final devkits recently hit the developers
The post about Treyarch assimilated by Gray Matter was also true. Ask anyone who is still with the Gray Matter team what's their name now ... ;)

Also, if they can do bloomy HDR volumetric lights, how come they're still stuck with cube-mapped water reflections?
Ok, I just asked about these movies. Yup, they are from the game running on a 360 kit

Just like the previous Treyarch CoD title, Call of Duty 2: Big Red One. It's a shame, since these two movies also restored my faith in the Treyarch chaps. It really does look just as nailbiting as CoD2, while BRO was really bad. I still wonder though, what are Infinity Ward working on, if not CoD3?

It’s possible that Sony wanted to launch with a numbered CoD title instead of one of the interim ones, so the publisher took what would not have normally not been CoD3 and renamed it. I hope the publisher realizes that if it’s bad it’ll do way more damage to their franchise than Sony’s money will pay for. Keep in mind that CoD2 had a 77% attach rate on the 360 in the first 3 months. It was their system seller.

You talk as if you're in the development industry. May I ask what are your credentials?
