GameBrink (http://www.gamebrink.com/) takes a look at a 360 J Wrestler:

In a perfect world Wrestle Kingdom 360 would make its way to US shores where it would be greeted with open arms. With high quality character models, a huge amount of customizability, tons of game modes, the wrestling engine behind SmackDown, and online play its tragic that even Yukes newly opened US offices might not even bring this one stateside. So essentially if youre looking at a sneak peak at next-gen SmackDown this is the import to get.

I think it would enjoy success, even without a major fed behind it. Anything in the spirit of Fire Pro should get to see the light of day here.

I showed the trailer off to my buddies who play all those damn Wrestling games. They had a good laugh at the look of it. Maybe I should hook them up with this one to see what they think.

They also let out a wail of pain when I explained that there's only one WWE wrestling game being made for all the systems this winter, which, apparently is Smackdown vs Raw, the Playstation version, which they both loathed.

I'm very confused by this. I can't see this game having much appeal outside of Japan, yet it's on the 360, which has zero appeal in Japan. Why make a game that no one on the planet is going to buy? Did Microsoft pay for the development a long while ago before they knew they couldn't crack Japan?

I'd like to see some company bring this in w/o any licenses.
Wrestling is a genre that is screaming for a "fighting game like" story mode.
The original Rumble Roses tried to do that, but the fighting engine was real weak.
Bring it in, make up new charactes and create a plot and it'll sell bucketfulls.
