Via digg (http://www.digg.com): I don't know that there's much I can say about this besides linking (http://www.thenewgamer.com/content/journals/r_lefeuvre/2006/02/lego_video_games_sanity). Here's a preview pic to make you salivate:

This guy has way too much time on his hands and yet not nearly enough for me to complain. Beautiful stuff. More please!

Just one more example of why Legos are the most awesome thing ever created by man.

QFT!

I love the excitebike one, falling off my moto 50 times and seeing my little guy talk his slow ass time getting back on. Good memories.

While my first reaction is to declare "NERD!" there's also that part inside of me that can't help but feel "Awesome!"

The Metal Gear pictures makes me long for some sort of Nintendo based tabletop boardgame.

Actually there's been an okay flow of news today, I just thought EvAv goers might appreciate seeing this. :)

Bionic motherfucking Commando. If there's a game to resurrect from the past, it's Bionic Commando. I would buy it just to hear the area 1 music.

Bionic Commando was a great game. Here's hoping that the Wii's compatability works as good as they say.

Have a look at the Lost Planet demo if you can. The main character has a grapple hook, and I got the Bionic Commando vibe when I used it.

Edit: I forgot. This Lego stuff was indeed TCFW! A tiny part of me is actually slightly embarassed to admit that. I'll try to kill that part with alcohol next weekend.

Hehe, with a little tweaking you could turn his Metal Gear rendition into Ikari Warriors.

that's cool - can anyone clear up where the pleuralisation comes from? because i've always called them lego, not legos. is that a US thing? or is it just us that still call many of them lego?

In the US they call them legos for some strange reason.

Gramatically and verbally it makes much more sense calling multiple blocks of lego just "lego", like here in the UK.

ah, ok - here's a quote from the lego group about naming:

"The word LEGOŽ is a brand name and is very special to all of us in the LEGO Group Companies. We would sincerely like your help in keeping it special. Please always refer to our bricks as 'LEGO Bricks or Toys' and not 'LEGOS.' By doing so, you will be helping to protect and preserve a brand of which we are very proud and that stands for quality the world over. Thank you! Susan Williams, Consumer Services."
