The Descent and Monster House were decent. Rest looks crappy, aside from Little Miss Sunshine.

There is just too many animal talking CGI movies this year.

Whats the ending like to The Descent?, i saw the film about a year ago in the UK when it was released in the cinemas, and i've heard that the ending has been changed for the US release.
Put it in black text in a quote box so as to not spoil it for anyone.

The annoying bitch who should have died didnt. Not sure on the difference but she stabs Juno in the leg then escapes the cave and runs back to their cars and speeds away. She gets in then she sees Juno in the passenger seat[blueish/ghostly I guess...] and screams and the credits roll.
Now that I think about it I really didnt like The Descent that much.

God, I hate hearing things like that especially for a movie I want to see. Fucking America. "We're the biggest super power in the world but we're pussies when it comes to violence or nudity."
I really hate this country sometimes. :)

Thanks Suicidal ShiZuru, the UK ending is MUCH bleaker. I'm going to watch it tonight i think to refresh my memory of it, it's already on Sky TV over here, god knows why they had to delay it for a year for the US, especially if the ending has been cut shorter...

WTC did better than I expected. It's way too soon for a movie like this, and it's an outrage that only 10 percent of the proceed are going to WTC charities.

I just watched the original ending on youtube. Much better. The movie still sucks though. Ive been thinking about it and came to that conclusion. Yeah it has decent scares and blah blah but overall its just a bunch of dumb bitches crying and then getting too emotional and screwing things up. Spoiler:Plus they shouldve shown her being eaten...

WTC is a glorified movie-of-the-week.
It plays at your heartstrings with the subtlety and complexity of an Alpo commercial.

And watch everything come crashing down under the might of Snakes on a Plane....
Saw the Descent over the weekend. I'd say in comparison to other horror movies I've seen within the past 12 months it was like a 7/10. There were some moments where I was like "WTF" but it's better than any kiddie slasher flick out there.

And with that, Suicidal ShiZuru ignited Evil Avatar's first 3000-post flamewar.
Seriously though, way too soon for a movie that doesn't help the victims more. My next door neighbor died on 9/11, and I doubt her family would see a dime of that money anyway.

I dont know what you meant by that, but Ive heard that the movie has a christian overtone. I think I saw some interview on CNN about it.

I saw "The Descent" last weekend and thought it was horrible (don't worry no spoilers). Granted, that is also just because I don't really have much use for this new type of "torture porn" flick that 's popular nowdays. I had no idea that's what "The Descent" was going in. I only chose it because I was too late fo rmy first choice, and it was the only other film playing that I recalled hearing some good things about. If I would have knowing I was just going to watch people's veins being chewed on, and eyeballs being gouged for an hour and a half, I would never have bothered. The first 30 minutes was actually pretty cool (sort of like Vertical Limit in a cave). Then I wanted to walk out of th theatre.

I agree entirely. It's really, really funny. I hadn't heard anything about it. Alan Arkin steals the movie.

It was all right. Apparently my uncle is in it (as an extra). I didn't notice him, but my sister did.
