PlayFrance.com (http://www.playfrance.com/news-images-des-images-haute-resolution-pour-assassin-s-creed.html) has a handful of new screenshots from Assasin's Creed, confirmed for the PS3 and almost confirmed for the 360.

I love the look of this game, very cool art direction.
Thanks Joystiq (http://www.joystiq.com) for originally pointing this out.

The graphics remined me alot of Oblivions especially the town shots with all the people, just hope they dont like looking at walls. But there does seem to be a lot going on in them towns so should make it more interesting.

Can't wait to pick this up for 360.

Here's hoping too that all those townspeople will notice somebody riding around on a horse while wearing sporting an shiny white outfit.

Even if they don't think that person's an assassin, that kind of outfit should attract attention. Especially when everyone else is wearing gray and green clothes.

I really like the look of this game, I think they have done the lighting really well. I reckon it looks a lot better than Oblivion.

I hope it does come out for the 360, as it'll be a couple of years before I have a PS3.

I want a PC port of this. I want PC ports of every 360 game so I don't have to go buy the thing. I'm too poor, but they're starting to get some very desirable products.

Love the look of this game, by the way.

Too bad for Sony that its on the 360, this could have been a system seller for them.

Maybe instead of building a PC that rivals a 360, you should have just bought a 360. Then you wouldn't be poor...

Some of the textures seem "washy" (Check on the ground where the assassin is on the horse outside castle gates.)

Umm it's cute and all but will the prince have some new adventures...

True, and the shadows could be more impressive in some shots. For me, nothing there falls outside of "good enough" territory, though, and they've got time to improve. Great aesthetic.

Am I the only one not impressed with this? It looks O.K., but certainly nothing spectacular. It sounds like a neat game, but the graphics just look a bit... blah.

Anyone have any links to gameplay movies?

I think the graphics fit the need of this game very well.

What is spectacular anyway? I don't think Crysis is "spectacular" any more than "lacking its own style" and making up for it with the latest and best rendering technology.

I also think BioShock's gonna be great looking for an artistic direction of its own. And Blizzard, etc.

Too true, Liquidize.

I recall people crying foul on WoW's graphics because they didn't have the most polys per character model, etc. This is the same game that still blows me away with how great it looks, even though it doesn't have the most amazing shaders or HDR. These people really don't seem to grasp the idea of style as an element in good graphics.

Grumble grumble...

But I would be poor because I would have had to buy a really snazzy TV to have my 360 look half decent. Trust me, you wouldn't want to run anything that comes close to requiring HD to look decent on my main gaming TV.

I'll get a new TV and a Wii this fall/winter and then maybe I'll get a 360 next year. Given the amount of time I've been spending on my snazzy PC, I'm still happy with my choice :)

Meh! Wake me when the Xbox 360 screens begin to surface. Unless (gasp) these are Xbox 360 screens being passed off as PS3 screens. I'm just saying is all.
