I never had a problem with pay-pal but if you use it as often as I do you might want to read this. Honestly whats preventing me from disputing the purchase, destroying a similar fake item and keeping the valuable goods while getting my refund? This scares me because I sell and buy antiques from time to time. It's just bad policy I never heard of before.

It's not the only horrible policy eBay and PayPal have. I hate their stupid service charges.

I've seen this story before . . . it's not very clear who was actually in the wrong here, although it does make a good point that PayPal is only supposed to be a payment company/go-between.

I read this story about someone who sold a violin and used paypal. The buyer disputed it as 'counterfiet' or something and paypal required they destroy the item and take photos to send back. The seller was out $1,000 and didn't even get the precious violin back. What's worse, the buyer could've destroyed a cheap $50 violin, taken photos, and who would know the difference.
