We're going to kick it off right away with a HUGE, extra-long interview with Jeff Green, editor-in-chief of Computer Gaming World and the upcoming Games for Windows. Jeff answered your questions (http://www.evilavatar.com/forums/showthread.php?t=15963) about the new magazine and gaming/games journalism in general. After the interview, we'll announce the winner of the contest -- one of you lucky sons of guns is getting a free year-long subscription to Games for Windows. Then at 10 PM central, we'll have the news with a couple special guests joining me including a certain penguin fellow you may just recognize. And I ain't talking about that Linux fool.

You will if you listen to the interview. :) Jeff is one of the few games magazine personalities that I've talked with who has realized the simple truth that magazines cannot compete with websites in terms of timeliness and, as such, have to bring something else to the table. But Evil Avatar's still totally better. Just don't tell Jeff I said so. ;)

The upside of this is that I'll actually have a fresh episode of the show to listen to on my MP3 player. I just wish the size of the file was smaller as one show basically fills up my MP3's meagre 128 MB of memory :(

I'll join in next week though. I have the weekend off then!

The show weighs in at 128MB?!? Wow, that is huge, but the sound quality is pretty good on the 'casts. I never thought about that. You could always re-encode at 64kbps.

Actually, the show wasn't 128 MB... I think episode 20, the last one that I missed, was about 79 megs which meant I had to ditch a bunch of the other podcasts that I wanted to listen to at the time. Ah well.
