IGN (http://www.ign.com) has posted a trailer for Just Cause which shows off some of he aerial stunts you can perform in the game.

Check out the trailer here (http://media.xbox360.ign.com/media/819/819377/vids_1.html).

In Just Cause, you take on the role of the flamboyant Rico Rodriguez - an undercover CIA operative specialising in regime change - as he tries to overthrow the corrupt government of San Esperito. This rogue South American island is suspected of stockpiling WMDs and it's your job to negate the threat to world peace. It could be to your advantage that this tropical paradise is about to implode as various factions vie for power - it just needs a gentle nudge in the right direction.

Just Cause offers the freedom to tackle your assignment however you want: play the island's factions off against one another; incite a rebellion among the masses; or build alliances with rebel forces and drug cartels. Explore the game's world of 1,225 square miles of mountains, jungles, beaches, cities and villages with a variety of air, land and sea craft.
I had a chance to play this on PC at QuakeCon and it was a total blast. The 'stunts' weren't as easy to pull off as they may seem in the video, though!

Editor's Note - Evil Avatar will not be held responsible for any harm that may befall anyone attempting these stunts in real life. You have been warned.

When the guy jumped through the rotor of the helicopter, I knew this was not for me.

I noticed that as well! I mean, come on. :)

Hmm... looks pretty fun. Might have to get it for PC when it comes out.
It's completely unrealistic, sure... but it is a game, so I suppose it should be.

Jumping through helicopter rotors is kind of... lame though.

Hah I thought the opposite.

Leaping about cars, flying up in the air, skydiving, massive sand box and car physics that look fun! FUN!!

I'm thinking of preordering and thats a bold move for a cheapskate.

EDIT: Fuck rotors, rotors are the worst bit of helicopters!!

There are plenty of games where helicopter rotor doesn't hurt you(BF2 for example), so it really doesn't bother me.

When can I put this game into my console? It sounds like an unofficial sequel to (or at least a knockoff of) Mercenaries, except it doesn't look like an entirely grey palleted North Korea.

I wish I'd never sold that game back to EB.

Hi gravity, we won't be needing you for this game. Best tell realistic too. Tell fun as hell to get his ass hear pronto. Got that? Good.

It looks just that, fun as hell.

He is not going through the rotor. He is going through the rotor blades.

Sorry, I just had to point it out since so many people insisted that he was going through the rotor.

Looks like a lot of fun. Newsflash! Video games usually aren't very realistic. I'll take fun over realism 9 times out of 10.

Thanks, Captain Obvious! However, it's still ridiculous when your character jumps through rotor blades, and hangs off of jets (directly next to the thrusters)!

Looks like a completely excessive GTA clone meets FarCry setting. Count me in.

It seems flying through the rotors unscathed is just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to how unrealistic these trailers are.
-Looks fun though.

We better hope they made it impossible to fly one of those planes into a building, otherwise this game will get an express train to controversyville.

But you can fly planes into buildings in all the Ace Combat games, even the newest one. And I think you can also do the same in Over G Fighters and Heroes of the Pacific!

There's no controversy until someone pipes up and gets on their soapbox. Not that I'm accusing you of that, you nderstand.

I just hope a few 'bad apples' dont ruin it for the rest of us responsible plane-building collision simulating bastards.
