Walmart (http://www.walmart.com/catalog/product.do?product_id=4196284) has a 12 month Live Gold cards for $35.82. (plus shipping) That's a $14 savings over the normal price!
Update: peeweejd points out that Amazon (http://www.amazon.com/gp/redirect.html?link_code=ur2&tag=happyapplefar-20&camp=1789&creative=9325&location=%2Fgp%2Fproduct%2FB000B9RI00%3Fredirect%3 Dtrue%26%255Fencoding%3DUTF8%26v%3Dglance%26n%3D46 8642) has them for the same price! (and free shipping)
Get the card and then join us for our Tuesday Night GRAW sessions. Where else can you hear: "There are beans in the burrito"?

De De Dee!
wow less than 3$ a month. maybe i should buy some out of the US, or at least ship some to my sister. it'd be cheaper than the roughly 70$ i pay now directly to MS.

Dang... wish they were giving more deals like that over here in Japan. They need it... ;)

I mentioned the Wal-Mart deal a while ago and decided that it was a con, especially since shipping is $6 and you have to pay taxes as well. The Amazon one is cool, though!

Amazon or some place had the 13 month ones for the same price not long ago. And I should have bitten!

I picked up a 13-month card from Circuit City a few weeks ago!

Done from Amazon. It's better than the $7/month I pay now. Of course, Amazon says it'll take 1-2 weeks.

I picked one up last weekend at Target for $34 and some change. One of my friends (who lies) said that Toys R Us was selling them for $27. I haven't gone in to check. Definitely a good deal though. I will use it to re-up my subscription come December.

Funnily enough, TrU were selling Live subscriptions on the original Xbox for $1.97. I believe that subscription also works on Xbox 360. I missed out, though.

I ordered last wednesday and they shipped it friday and i'll bet it will get to my house today.
I've ordered from them a lot before on the supersaver shipping. it usually takesa week to get to me (give or take a day). I'm in Philadelphia by the way.

I have an existing XBL account. Can I simply add a card like this right away or do I have to wait for my existing time to expire?

You can add it. My account right now is good through 2008 using these cards. :D

I smelled those beans even before they were mentioned last night ;)
Looking forward to next weeks Tuesday night 'dish.' Perhaps we'll have tamales? Tacos?
GRAW Tuesdays are a blast, and this deal for the Gold card is a good one!
De De Dee!
I'm lovin' it?!? ;)

Toys R Us brick and mortar has the 12-month old-style cards on clearence for $19.95. You can use these to renew on a 360. But that's been going on for long enough that they're mostly cleared out.
I highly recommend the Cheapass Gamer (http://www.cheapassgamer.com) forums for keeping up on this kind of stuff.

Do these cards circumvent the need for a credit card altogether assuming you don't DL pay-to-play content? If so, I should forward this to a few of my friends might be interested.

Yeah, no credit card necessary for the Live subscription as long as you have a prepaid subscription card. I picked up an old 12 month card from Toys R Us a couple weeks ago at that $19.97 clearance price. $19.5 is the new "free"!
