Just to chime in and seem like a plant:

I don't order games online that often, but when I do, its either from GoGamer, or its not getting ordered. I never see any actual sales at Gamestop/EB, their idea of a sale is "Hey, 5 bucks off shipping!"

Meanwhile I can wait a week and get something like Oblivion for 20 bucks off. That, and I've yet to have any problem with gogamer, shipped fast, got here safe, and easy to track what's up with your order.

Meanwhile: Avoid buy.com like a zipper wounded shaft. (An Evening with Kevin Smith joke!)

I paid 35 for Oblivion on launch day (Fry's sale) so this doesn't amaze me too much. I may want to grab Advent Rising.

It's gotten to the point where I don't buy games that come in paper sleeves. I can put ANY DVD/CD into a sleeve in a CD-album. I want a case to put on my shelf so I can find it easily.

I freaking loved Advent Rising (on the PC). From what I understand, it was the bugs on the XBox version that ruined the game's reputation. By the time the PC version was released (with more polish), no one cared.

And now the sequels won't be done (at least, not until the publisher agrees to give/sell the rights back to the developer). Which is terribly disappointing to me, since I thought the game was innovative (great way to deal with the weapons), fun, interesting (the story was better than most), and it ended on a cliffhanger.

--Oh, and the Oblivion CE version came in a large folding DVD thing.
