According to the UK OXM site, Microsoft's list of Xbox Live Arcade releases has been updated (http://www.oxm.co.uk/articles/news/hardware/xbox_live_wednesdays_release_schedule_updated). On the other hand, 1Up is questioning the list (http://www.1up.com/do/newsStory?cId=3152695), saying that Microsoft says it's only speculation for now, despite coming from an official mag. The list from OXM:
* 09 August: Pac-Man
* 16 August: Texas Hold 'Em
* 23 August: Time Pilot
* 30 August: Scramble
* 06 September: Lumines Live!
So is it real or is it not? Only time will tell, but it's going to have to tell pretty soon, since Pac-Man's already on its way out this week. Those titles all sound good, and continuing the one-a-week deal would be nice, so let's keep our fingers crossed.

TimePilot? Is this a remake, ive never heard of the game.
Lumines is the one the wife is waiting for. She uses my PSP constantly to play that game... not so sure how much I want here using the 360 that much!

Time Pilot was a great arcade game back in the day, and so was scramble before that. Scramble was one of my favorites actually.
Unfortunately, Gamespot has confirmed that the list is not accurate. Hopefully, we will see these titles release soon.

Not really. All Gamespot has is Microsoft saying the same thing they said to 1Up, that it's merely rumor and speculation as of now. They didn't say it's wrong, although Gamespot for some reason took it to mean that.
I think you'll find Time Pilot quite frustrating by today's standards. The whole, "rotate the ship around while constantly moving forward" thing really pissed me off back-in-the-day and I don't see it getting any better.
Scramble, now that could be cool. Especially if they give it a new paint job and actually use the widescreen, versus making it in a stupid little box like the other arcade ports.
It's a HORIZONTAL SHOOTER for christ's sake! Make it take up the ENTIRE SCREEN Microsoft or I'll personally have to send nasty e-mails to your XBLA product manager!!! :p

Agreed. Anyone ever play the GBA "Konami Arcade Classics"? They had Scramble, and maybe TimePilot (can't recall). However, they also had new art for some of their games accessible via the Konami code. I liked the updated art to Scramble, definitely made it feel like a more modern shmup. Perhaps they'll bring that to XBLA as well.

They should start releasing Backwards Compatability games on a weekly basis like this, I would be happy with a single release per week rather than this "We'll release them unexpectedly when we feel like it." You know the BC emulators have to be authorized and tested by MS before allowing release.
