There was a recent press event in Australia where Activision showed off Call of Duty 3 for the XBox 360 and PS3. We've got 8 new Screenshots (http://www.evilavatar.com/forums/showthread.php?t=15937) of it for your viewing pleasure.

Why didn't Infinity Ward make this game? It looks worse than COD2. Brothers In Arms rapes this.

Because they are money grubbin' ho's... most studios respect their IP enough to reserve major releases for themselves while allowing other companies to work on expansion packs or offshoots. Infinity Ward? "Yeah sure, make number 3, who cares. You want to screw out PC users? Sure, why not."

Who gives a fuck about COD 3 after how much they retarded COD 2, jesus the halo health system really didn't make ANY fucking sense in a WW2 FPS, and then I think they still tried to talk about realism in the game sometimes, fuck them, if we're going to have a COD 3 lets have a TRUE sequel to COD 1 not some gay fucked shit for cosoloids.

You seem to be lost, this (http://www.gamefaqs.com/) is where you want to be.

Looks ok, I just hope that they cut out the , "lets just send in like 1000 germans for 20 minutes" type gameplay. Gets very tiring. The ammo spilt is just too much. I like the choas, but am getting tired of the "defending" type stuff

The game looks nice, but they are getting further away from a "realistic" look that I assume they are going for.
Some of those shots have so much gloss and over use of normal mapping that they almost look like a painting.
Do they not understand that not everything in real life is shiney, even in the rain. Clothes don't suddenly become shiney because it's raining.

If it's half as intense and immersive as CoD2 was on the 360 I'm there. I usually could not care less about WW2 games but I loved this one.

If this was coming out for the PC they would be singing a different tune...

You seem to give a giant fuck with that impassioned writing. I think the CoD2 health system was great, and it's not any less realistic than picking up health packs. What is most important is it keeps you in the action.

Thank you someone who actually gets it, because we all know that slapping on a bandaid and doing some morphine will get you automatically to full health immediately in real life too!
And, I can appreciate the artistic style they're going for, it does look cool at first, at first.... how about something goddamn new...
Like.. a sudden twist, CoD3 doesn't have to be a freaking constant regurgitation of the same setting but with different views... how about..
doing what RTS games like age of empires.. have an age of titans/mythology or something and have a semi indiana jones/wolfenstein... bah I dunno I'm just gettin a lil tired of CoD as it is and a graphical change just isn't gonna do it for me ;(

The first batch of posts seemed surprisingly negative. I love CoD2, and I'm fired up for CoD3...I'm there as soon as I can afford it, since I'm poor :( (any little ole price drop would be great, once it's out ;) )

I'm down. I beat COD2 pretty quick and was a little bummed, but I'm still on XBLive at least 4 times a week and have great fun with it. I don't see why everyone is dissin it, maybe they just need another counter strike.

Are you blind? Maybe these screens are low-res or something but they look like balls for something that should be better than the last.

So now you have a game that boasts about how 'realistic' it is, and how you feel 'like you were there,' and 'in the middle of the action' while you single-handedly win World War 2, with your Wolverine healing at the ready.
Yeah, imagine people disliking that.

While i hope that its just because these screens are from an unfinished version of the game, those screens do look considerably worse than CoD2 from almost a year ago...
Whats with everyone saying CoD2 was crap, was it hell! i loved it from start to finish. so what if it had a dodgy health system, get over it, it worked and thats all that mattered. If the CoD games were 100% realistic you'd get killed by just popping your head out of a trench, now that wouldn't exactly make a fun game now would it.
Considering that this isn't made by the original CoD developers i'm not really bothered that its not coming to PC, i never really liked the ones that Treyarch brought to consoles anyway. Bring on the REAL CoD3 for us loyal PC fans please :D

CoD2 was fun, but I liked the first one better.
As for the health, I prefer the med packs approach. The auto-heal just means duck back behind the wall and you're good to go in a few seconds, full health.
With the medpacks, while by no measure more realistic than automagic healing, at least you had a risk/reward balancing act for them... do I run across the street for that canteen and maybe get shot up worse than I already am, or not? And even if you did, you might not be fully healed.
*shrug* Just my take.
Finally, what a fucking crock no CoD3 on the PC. WTF? Old news, I know, but it still pisses me off.

IW has no control over who makes CoD games or what Treyarch does. IW never owned the CoD IP.

That is nice if you can quicksave before you run for that medpack. It's fucked up to have to replay almost a whole level because you got sniped in the head.

Well come on... you got sniped in the head, LOL... medpack or automagic healing, a hole in the head is gonna be lethal, regardless. ;)
