GameBrink (http://www.gamebrink.com/) has an early review

The game itself is actually split into two parts; a strategy and action phase. In the strategy phase, you begin with a map of the area youre going to be fighting in. In one corner of the map will be the Great Fox which is basically your base. Once it is destroyed by getting in contact with the enemy, you fail your mission instantly so you have to work to protect it. It isnt all defenceless however as it can hold up to a maximum of 3 missiles and shoot them at any enemies in sight. On the rest of the map there will be various bases occupied by enemy mother ships which launch various mechanic enemies and missiles to attack your team. Most of the maps are covered in a fog of war which you can rub out with your stylus but, theres a limit to how much you can remove. After each turn, the fog grows back a little. There are also various extras such as missiles, repair rings and time globes scattered here and there.

No mention of co-op. I guess that was false then : (

This game might have the best controll on the DS to date. Thought Metroid used it well, not having to strafe and shoot while aiming makes this game possible to play for over an hour without cramps. The most frustrating thing for me is trying to decipher the japanese text with nothing but my english skills. Aside from not knowing exactly what to do from the japanese instructions in-game, I think this is the best game to come out on the DS because the controll is even better than the N64 version, which was arguably the best one till the DS version.

Time limits? Turn limits? I was thinking of getting this, but I *hate* to be pushed by a game. I want to take it at my own pace. It's one of the main things that keeps Lost Magic from being a good game.

No thanks.

Why can't we just have a simple, SNES-like Starfox title??????? Brutal!

It says in the review that you can record your own voice and have it translated into the jibberish that was used in the SNES version, as if it was a real language.

That is so freakin cool!

I've played through the first two worlds of this...the combat is TERRIBLE.. the strategy phase is SLIGHTLY fun, but when you enounter a ship, you just get thrown into a small arena where you have to find 1-5 stars that are hidden in ships. So you fly around in a small area shooting whatever you see until you get the stars. It gets old fast...not to mention that the areas are very small and very generic looking.

Note: Multiplayer might be cool, I admit that i've only played single player.
