Strategy Informer (http://www.strategyinformer.com/) sends word that FilePlanet (http://www.fileplanet.com/promotions/darkmessiahMM/index.shtml) has a premiere page up which announces a demo is to be released for Dark Messiah of Might & Magic this Tuesday the 8th of August. We aren't sure what content the demo is actually going to have but it should be a good idea to check the demo out before you buy it.

I refuse to give Fileplanet any of my money. Ever. I don't care if they get the beta for Diablo fucking III, they can suck an egg.

Cool stuff, Dark Messiah looks like something I could play over and over.
The combat videos alone made me lose interest in The Elder Scrolls IV.

Is it for subscribers only or for registered folks too?

Considering they normally market them as Subscriber only for a while before they come out. I would say this one most likely is an open demo for registered users aswell. It says nothing about being subscriber only (as opposed to Company of heroes beta which has been clearly market subscriber only.)
Take it with a grain of salt tho, it could end up being subscriber only.

It'll probably be out on Steam too.

Sweet! I'm sure Steam will have this too.

Hell yeah!
The demo seems to be open for all. They only say that subscribers will get to download it with no lines (as always).
Besides, I am not sure why people hate Fileplanet so much. I been a subscriber for years, and never felt cheated. I get fast and stable downloads. I guess I am not anti-establishment enough. Maybe I am showing my age :P

Get this demo or return to the cave where you live. It's that simple.

Gonna be quite a few disappointed downloaders when this demo arrives. I can't be the only one who thought this was going to be a deep RPG and not something more similar to HL2.
EDIT: Not that there's anything wrong with first person shooters, it's just not what I was hoping for. Still looking forward to it.

I'm sure a torrent will be available quickly after it is released. Torrents are always free (not counting the bandwidth).

I was in the multiplayer closed beta, and while I can't or wouldn't disclose any specifics about the game, I have to say that it's a VERY high quality title that I'll be picking up shortly after it's out. It runs very well on my system (P4 3.0, 1GB, Radeon 9800), and the visuals are simply fantastic. While I haven't touched the single player, if it's up to the quality of the MP experience, I'll be able to confidently recommend it for purchase.

Oh man, I am so there. I have been excited about this game since the first time I heard about it.

The in-game videos really showed off some neat systems. I love the Thief-like rope arrows, the physics interactions, and the flexibility of the spells. I might wait for a few reviews, but if all goes well, I'll download it off Steam quick enough.

I was in the multiplayer beta a while back, but they never launched any US servers, so it was super laggy on the EU servers, or there was never anyone playing. Since I never got my fix during the beta, I'm really looking forward to this demo

I'm throwing my support behind this as well. Can't wait to try this!
