Oh nooos. Not another WWII game! Aye, another WWII game. But War Front: Turning Point (http://www.war-front.com/) is a bit different. What would happen if Hitler had been assassinated early on in WWII and the German war engine came under control of a new regime? e. Gamers will be exposed to a whole new WWII time line, new battles and a variety of secret and experimental weapons. Eye-popping graphics and a refreshing plot will keep gamers pinned to their PCs as they attempt to alter or ensure the outcome of vastly different World War II.

Sounds pretty cool to me. And looks pretty good too. Check out the 6 new Screenshots (http://www.evilavatar.com/forums/showthread.php?t=15809) to prove it!

Wasn't that the entire premise of Command & Conquer: Red Alert? Except instead of Hitler being assassinated he was just "removed" by a time traveling Einstein.

Same thought. Maybe it's time for an update...although it hurts me because it makes it seem as if Red Alert has now been 'removed'.

Although I'm pretty happy because it looks like another base building RTS.

But, three things are needed: No unit cap, different tech/economy for each race, and not relying on strategic points for economy(that's takes the out the strategy and puts in the tactical).

I agree, wtf is with the idea that I have to be 3 feet from my gigantic army of tanks? Hello, I want to see wtf is happening.

I don't know about unit caps. I mean, if there isn't one. Wont the game tax the living hell out of your CPU/GPU? How do you combat that?

This is just silly, surely they couldīve come up with a better story... Red Alert was somewhat similar, but at least it didnīt take place during WWII.

Every time I hear about hardware limitations I want to scream.

The big reason EA/Westwood/whatever gave (on their forums) for why the camera was so close was that the game would slow down if you could see too much.

Guess what? My machine didn't slow down then, and my current machine is about 5 billion times faster than the old one. I STILL CANNOT PULL THE CAMERA BACK.

So the unit caps and camera zoom lock persist, and drive me away from RTS's since Red Alert 2.

Sad.

I'm pretty pleased with the camera controls of Company of Heroes. And the camera controls for Supreme Commander looks pretty good as well.

Yeah but they'd have to scale down the detail on the models if they designed it with a farther view and then it wouldn't look as good on screenshots and then no one would buy it and then EA would die and then the economy would collapse and then a power-mad leader promising pride and hope would arise to lead the nation into a dictatorship and we'd have the next World War on our hands.

So giving you more battlefield is, obviously, not an option.

How could I forget? Any armageddon worth its salt has its share of ophidians on aircraft.
