Last February, developer Pseudo Interactive and publisher Sega released Full Auto for the Xbox 360, a car combat title that got some mixed reviews. In a bit of a surprising movie, Pseudo and Sega decided to charge ahead with a full fledged sequel, Full Auto 2: Battlelines, that will be an exclusive launch title for Sony's PS3 console this fall. FiringSquad got more details on Full Auto 2 from Sega producer Mike Gallo (http://www.firingsquad.com/news/newsarticle.asp?searchid=11496): Here is a snip:
FiringSquad: Some of the comments for the first Full Auto game were that the vehicles felt "floaty" in their driving physics. Is this issue being addressed in Full Auto 2?
Mike Gallo: In short – absolutely. We’ve spent a lot of time working on the car driving models for Full Auto 2, and we think that everyone will be pleased with the results. We had two goals – make the cars more fun to drive, and make the cars feel unique. These were especially important given the addition of the new race modes and in particular the arena combat modes.

Sticking it on a console may actually help this game.

I actually know people who absolutely love the 360 version. Go figure. I thought it was too choppy.

what I don't like about this game is that people are saying it looks mildly better than FA 1 on Xbox, and that shows that the PS3 is more powerful. It's Full Auto TWO. SHOULDN"T it look better than the original? What sequel doesn't?

Megaman games.

If there had been a twisted metal type battle mode for Full Auto it would have probably been decent. I did get some enjoyment out of it but a save game corruption after a race pissed me off and made me play through a bunch of races for my final achievement.

Megaman games.
Every Megaman game 1-5 looked graphically better than the one before it. I can't comment on that X business. As for Battle Network... those games aren't REALLY sequels. I don't think anyone thinks that.

I'm trying to wrap my head around your statement.
Sounds like you meant to say: "I don't understand why people are saying PS3 is more powerful because Fullauto 2 looks better than Fullauto 1 on Xbox 360. Sequels almost always look better anyways, it has nothing to do with the PS3 specifically."
Instead you came off as saying: "I don't like this game because people are using it to prove PS3 is more powerful. And since these other people are doing that, I dislike this game despite the fact it has nothing to do with these people."

I _loved_ the first one. This may actually get me to buy a PS3.
Blasting an opponent as we both smash though a hotel lobby in 70s muscle cars with missile launchers and machineguns strapped to the hood... It's pure testosterone.

I HATE THIS GAME.
I am quite simply ENRAGED that I spent $60 on this game for the 360. If you are planning to get a PS3, be warned and WAIT to decide about this until reviews come in. Do not lsten to the fanboys. They just want SOMETHING to get excited about. There may be PS3 games to buy the system for, BUT THIS IS PROBABLY NOT ONE OF THEM.
Forget the cheap gameplay, floaty physics and the fact that enemies often spend a lot of time out of range (read: poor game design).
The multiplayer doesn't even guarantee a means to play with your friends.
You have been warned.

Well, I never said I didn't like the game, I said "what I don't like about this game" which is just my personal speech pattern for saying the second item you listed.

hunh? In singleplayer I find the enemy cars are hot on my heels or right in front of me all the time.
As far as online play, there's "Unranked" play to invite and play with friends. There's Ranked play if you are into leaderboards too.
Some players prefer total sim like Forza, hey that's fine, but I just find that style of gameplay tedious. Give me the power fantasy and destruction anyday.

What I meant is that the game does not actually let you play a private match with friends. You can make a public match, but THATs IT. Almost every game released on the original Xbox has at least offered THAT basic functionality. Frankly I was shocked and horrified that MS even let them publish this piece of crap.
This game has one of the most primitive online interfaces that I have EVER SEEN on LIVE! And that statement INCLUDES the Xbox era. They completely dropped the fucking ball here.
If the PS3 version is anything like the 360 version then this will be a bad game imo.
If you are planning to spend the big bucks to get a PS3: Miracles can happen, but wait for reviews.

Full Auto was one of the worst games I've ever played, second only to Ducati World Racer for the Sega Dreamcast.
I'm glad Full Auto 2 is heading to the PS3 since anyone spending $600 on a system can afford to throw away an extra $60 on trash too. ;)

Oh, then it is already set up for the PS3 online system?

Full Auto should have been no more than $39.99.
That being said, Sega put out Chromehounds and Full Auto...two games that would have done better to stay in the 'oven' a little longer. I personally like Condemned...it was creepy as @#$!
