Xbox.IGN (http://xbox.ign.com/) has posted the new trailer (http://media.xbox.ign.com/media/823/823194/vids_1.html) for Destroy All Humans! 2 that's being developed for the PS2 and Xbox. The title is slated to ship to North American stores on October 17, 2006.
The original is still in my "need to play" pile. Anyone planning on getting this when it hits?

To be honest, the graphics don't look as good as the first game. It looks like they went for more of a "realistic" look for the sequel and it just doesn't work with the theme.

I can't recall the graphics of the old game, but it doesn't seem to be that different. The original game was fun, but was a little mediocre. Basically it was a rental, but it was one hell of a rental. Here's hoping they fix some of the problems with the first one. Even still, I probably won't buy it, seeing as I've moved on to bigger and better things (360 games! :D ) Probably a rental though.

I was too busy playing other games when the orginal came out, and I have definately heard good things about it, I will probably check it out, if only to see what all the fuss is about.

Sad but true :p
The free-roaming GTA-style carnage was cool, and telepathically crushing people with cars was very entertaining, but it was a little broken up (you'd have to return to the mothership to go to a new area). Also, throwing in a couple vehicles would have been cool. The "cash" system was a little crappy, as you'd have to play the same boring minigames over and over again, as while killing random civilians was a good way to get DNA, it didn't pay out as much as the minigames did.

I loved the first game, but I'm not going to be buying it unless they port it to the 360... Even if it gets on the BC list it is going to be missing custom soundtracks, and that is something I really, really like having in my games these days.

I loved the humor in the first and it seemed to get everything right for the era. I'll be gettin this when it comes out.

Yuck. The first DAH was terrible. And I was hyped until I played it.

I loved the first one, but I'm not sure if it was because of the gameplay or the crude humour. Maybe it was a bit of both, it did have solid gameplay plus I'm always up for some crude humour in video games.
