View Full Version : Top 20 Gayest Video Game Characters
The Continental
07-31-2006, 09:19 AM
GayGamer.net (http://www.gaygamer.net)has completed their several week countdown of the gayest characters in video gaming (http://gaygamer.net/index.php?s=gayest). Here's a small sample of the recently outed:
18. Cybil Bennet – Silent Hill
If you’ve played the original Silent Hill (or seen the movie for that matter) then you can’t forget Cybil Bennet. She’s undoubtedly the hottest dead lesbian leather motorcycle cop we’ve seen to date. Sorry, straight boys, to pop your Cybil wet dream balloon, but if this chick likes d**k then Richard Simmons is out there somewhere right now licking some pus*y! Cybil is pleased to announce that she will be the Grand Marshall at next years Dykes on Bikes parade.
The sheer number of Metal Gear characters on this list only confirms its validity. Thanks GameSpot (http://www.gamespot.com) for the info.

The King of All Cosmos isn't gay! Not that there's anything wrong with that....
Pretty funny list! :D

Why is The Continental visiting Gay Gamer? Not that I'm being accusatory or that I even really care about that kind of lifestyle. :)

The site must be getting hit pretty hard already, database is down. I can only hope that Voldo from Soul Calibur made it.

Anyone able to give me a rundown of the list? I don't want to be caught at work looking at a site with the word GAY in it.

I'm actually surprised that the Cho Aniki Brothers weren't number one instead of Tingle.
I went and got that rom after reading the I-mockery story on it, saying 'It can't be half as bad as they say.'
There aren't enough eyedrops in the world to cleanse your vision of the weird. "Things" in that game. Its just... scary.
The other thing on the list that surprised me was Fox from Bloody Roar. I always thought that character was a girl. Huh. My gaydar is way off.

Wait... Kuja and Sephiroth didn't make the cut? (can't see the list but someone said none of them made it.)
That's...that's not possible. Kuja was so gay I thought he was a girl for half the game. Made me feel all dirty inside. But I got over my teenage homophobia :p

There's a difference between being obviously gay and androgynous. Kuja wasn't a homosexual, and Sephiroth wasn't close. Spikey hair and crazy clothes do not a gay man make.
Indigo Prophecy had a gay character in it. Are there many games with obviously gay characters or is this list just a large gathering of flamboyant and eccentric people, with speculation but no concrete evidence?

You need to click this link (http://gaygamer.net/index.php?id=214) in the post. At least, I think it's that one, the server's taking such a beating that it hasn't loaded up for me yet. Wait.. there it goes. I was gonna say that Pierre and Gerard Magimel from SH:C should having been number 1, but I stand corrected.
No sign of Sydney Losstarot from Vagrant Story either.

Well put it this way - one of the two characters at #4 had you collect trading cards of scantily clad greased up blokes in order for him to make dresses for one of your party members.

I'm sorry, but Kuja was one of the gayest video game characters I've ever seen. He was all over Zidane for most of the game and was obviously a transvestite. I'm surprised he didn't even get an honorable mention, I mean, Liquid Snake did and he's no where near as flamboyantly gay as Kuja.

Thats pretty dangerous considering his penchant for head butting.

Thank you. My sentiments exactly. I can let sephiroth slide. But Kuja should have been right up in the top 5 ATLEAST if not first.

We don't know where Kelegacy lives. There are places in the U.S. that are still incredibly prejudiced against gay people. It's not Kel's fault if his boss is a bigot.

That's true. But you can't let someone else's hate and fear change the way you live. He is actually avoiding a story about videogames because of a little three letter word. That's crazy!

It's not necessarily based on prejudice; in my case, it's based on caution. How many *gay*.* websites are there on the internet that DON'T involve porn? I know -I- don't want them showing up in my browse list on my company's http proxy server, if for no other reason than I don't want closer inspection to draw their attention to how many times I hit EvilAvatar.com each workday. :)

It's not crazy in the work place. Many places of buisiness are against casual surfing of the internet. Those that arn't are absolutely against any site of "questionable content" things with "Gay" right in the name would be more trouble than it is worth.
I'm not saying that's the case with him. I can see how it could be though.

WHOA, WHOA, WHOA! You guys are assuming too much, looking too deep into what I said. I'm not against gays, I have gay friends. No, what I mean is that my company cracks down on porn sites and anything even remotely sexual, and I'm not sure if the gay word or domain would raise a flag at IT or something. Even if not, I personally don't want to be caught looking at the site with all the old hens behind my back. At home or with other people, fine, but these ladies are hardcore religious anti-everything not Catholic approved. I don't want them thinking I'm bi-curious.
Not that there's anything wrong with that.
And bean19, I'm in Maine. We're a pretty accepting people, a proud blue state, despite our "backwater" label from the rest of the country. But hey, at least we aren't the SOUTH!

From the site...
UPDATE: This list was so popular, it crashed our servers! We are proud to say that well over 37,000 people have viewed this list!
Well folks, the countdown is officially over! Below you can find the complete list plus, we will be continuing to add “honorable mentions” as we find them We are now accepting submissions from readers of any characters we may have missed. Eventually we would like this to be a place where people can come and find gay characters in games. So, if you have any suggestions, please drop us an email with the characters name, the game they are from, the reason they are thought to be gay and your name (for credit). We hope you’ve enjoyed the countdown and keep checking back for more characters!

Nothing wrong with the South, friend. But feel free to promote the idea that there is something desparately flawed about us--we're started to get a bit more overcrowded than we'd like, what with all the Yankees realizing how much better it is down here and deciding to perma-migrate.

Not better...cheaper. Repeat after me...cheaper.
There's nothing to do in georgia/carolinas/west virginia. Thus, everyone there gets drunk and does drugs...and lacks an education/has a shitty education.
I live in dc and i love it. there's lots and lots to do. but i'll never afford a house. See the dilemna?
Not better. Cheaper. It's the removal of the middle class of america...kicking us out of where it is better.

Besides, I didn't know your exact reasons, and they turn out to not be motivated by needing to avoid bigotry, but I wanted to point out that what YOUR avoidance was probably not bigotry.
Especially because you are so gay.
