What is Project 8? Top secret military documents? The latest James Bond movie? Kefkataran's mom's recipe for muffins? Nope, it's none of these. Tony Hawk's Project 8 is the latest game in the popular franchise for next generation platforms. And we've got 10 new Screenshots (http://www.evilavatar.com/forums/showthread.php?t=15477) to show it off.

This boring and flat license needs to die a horrible skating death.

I admit i lost a little interrest in this series, but it's not a flat license.
You can always improve your ability in these games. The possibilities
are incredible in these levels.

I was hoping it was Kefka's mother's muffins :(

That first screenshot looks a little rough... but the rest look really good. I'll be interested to see if the realism they bring to this game brings "REALISTIC" trick combos as well. The close up of Burnquist almost looked like a photo-op, very cool

Is it just me, or are there actually only 5 screenshots?
I kept hitting next and it went through a few then repeated them.

I guess it's safe to say this was/is made for the last gen consoles as well.

This is what the Xbox version should have looked like 2 years ago and the animation is complete shit. Neversoft should go work for EA, they seem to share the same mindset when it comes to making games.

I tend to agree. It certainly looks pretty, but I think this game has become something that only fans of the series enjoy anymore. Personally, I find the game to be far too difficult because I've never been interested in it long enough to acquire the skills necessary to do well.

Then again, the game isn't made for me because even though I skated as a kid, I'm just not that interested. I'm sure that fans of the series will enjoy playing the game with next-gen graphics.

The shadow is really bothering me in the above picture. I guess it might just be the way the light falls on the guy, but it's weird that the guy is detached from the board but in the shadow they are one.

If they changed to gameplay to be realistic, this would be awesome. But for me, it's too zany, wild, and wacky...more like a puzzle game.

The shadow is terrible. I was like Absolut Taco, it looks weird, especially after playing some games where the shadows matched the player.

Wow, not sure what game you're looking at or why you're so angry about it. I don't understand how you can say the animation in the trailor is shit...it's all motion captured, expertly, might I add. What you're essentially saying is that real movement is shit...and that's just ignorant. Not sure what you have against the game, but don't play it if you're so insenced about it. Neversoft's not going to cry because they didn't get your money.

Wow. I just thought the same about you after reading that comment.

If this game goes back to a more realistic game (which is what it looks like) then it might just be enough for me to revisit this franchise.

I believe it is a trick of the angle the light is coming in at.

After falling out of the series after nr.4, this seems to be the game that could pull me back in. I will keep an eye out for the 360 version.

The irony is that a lot of the people stopped playing the games because they went T.H.U.G. and changed the formula too much, if they would've just made Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 5 everyone would've been happy.

Count me in as another who is sick of this series. I stopped after number 2. Yet another yearly franchise taking up space on the shelves where something NEW could be. :(
