I like the color schemes they're using. Is this going to be the same gameplay style as the original?

I really like this model for episodic content, it seems it will actually keep players interest more than previous attempts, with the machinima to bridge the gap between episodes.

I got to meet Steve Purcell at Comicon. He was an awesome guy and was really excited about the game.

New episodes every month? How much gameplay will each "episode" add? And really, can the devs consistently deliver content every month without having to totally water it down to get it done/out?
I am skeptical, but excited about the game in general.

If this is all real time then it looks really good! Very smooth and well shaded.

I was hoping for a more "painterly" look, less like Bone. It's seems a bit too CGI for my tastes, but if the humor's there, who cares? One thing I'm worried about is this "monthly" content. How many episodes are we getting? At how much? Is "episodic" content going to translate to "Paying $100 for $50 worth of game"? If it's funny and well done, fine, but I don't want to pay out the nose for it.

If this works out, Double Fine and Telltale Games ought to merge. An unstoppable force would be born.
...well, unstoppable by anything but the public's ignorance.

Dunno if Tim wants to do nothing but licensed adventure games. Telltale seems a little too by the book for my tastes. I will play Sam and Max, but I think that it is good that Tim is off making the games he wants to make, regardless of genre.

I seem to recall that these aren't technically in-game, but rather renders that theoretically represent what the game will look like. Can't remember the reference, though.

I'd love it if this works out. Monthly episodic content would be great and having a recognizable set of figureheads like Sam & Max would definately benefit this model.

Looks like some excellent progress has been made since the trailer.

I've been rediscovering my love for adventure games this year after a very, very long break from them. There were some absolute classics that I had just never played - particularly Grim Fandango and The Longest Journey. Now I just finished Dreamfall on Sunday, and I NEEDS MORE.
And the original Sam & Max was the game that got me hooked after we got our first PC .. before I even played the Monkey Islands. I need this.

I dig the "Liver and Onions" poster - that's the same band on the poster in Ed's basement in Ed, Edd & Eddy.

See, an episode a month, this is how you do it!
Also, adventure games are probably some of the quickest games to create content for, thus lending better to episodes, along with gameplay that is more story based, thus seasons could be closer to that of TV shows.

*argh* Once again Steve Purcell's brilliant artwork is reduced to Ballon Animals in 3d...
