HEXUS.gaming's resident wood elf took the short trip to Warhammer World to meet up with Bandai Namco developer, Chris Wren, and chat about the upcoming RTS game, Warhammer: Mark of Chaos. Read the article here (http://gaming.hexus.net/content/item.php?item=6251).

Indeed I left Warhammer World armed with a hobby starter kit and a regiment of dark elves, feeling in awe of the whole community spirit surrounding the Warhammer universe, eager to tell others of this experience, and impressed how the guys from Bandai Namco have managed to shift up a further gear to bring their latest PC game even closer to the tabletop miniature experience and the immense Warhammer history that many have loved and cherished ever since the coming of Chaos. All I ask is that they make it a little less sadistic than the previous Warhammer strat games. I still curl up into a ball at the mere thought of Shadow of the Horned Rat and Dark Omen.

*shudder*

Such good games, but so very, very hard!

Have to admit I'm new to the rts genre and was intimidated at the thought of getting into this latest Warhammer game. I actually couldn't believe how simple it is. I think online will be a different matter due to the fact that most players will probably be able to execute the moves much faster than a novice.

So damn true. But when I managed to beat em, I would feel damn good.

Though I'm sure this one will be different.

While I loved the previous RTS games, man they got really frustrating when a fuck up from two levels ago can cause you to lose, just cause you lost some unit you didn't know was vital.

Apparently people complained before because the screen shots for this game were so close up. Sure, it's pretty, but you can't play a huge RTS like that! So, when they did this interview and got new screenshots, they... again, only showed them close up from an unplayable angle.
