Lucasarts (http://www.lucasarts.com) released a new trailer of a new game they are currently working on which is going to be on the Next Generation of Consoles.

That's exactly what this is. It's just prerendered footage of what they want the game to be like.

A Star Wars Psi-ops is a great concept, so I hope this pans out.

I'm just saying that taking the jedi theme, which is rather dated, in a new direction could be a really good thing. I like the idea of a darker jedi game. And I'm not talking darker as in "I invested some of my power points in red colored icons rather than blue ones", I'm talking a whole new coat of paint on the jedi theme. Make it take a few smacks into the wall to kill a stormtrooper, you know, where you really have to whip them around till you snap their neck or something. Yes yes it's just pre-rendered whatever, but to me it looks like they at least have some people working on the next-gen star wars project who are willing to move away from the "pg" rated universe a little bit.

Advent Rising was awesome. It had a few technical issues but the story was awesome. They should have finished the trilogy on the 360, that would have been wicked.

Have you even played Jedi Knight or Jedi Outcast? That scripted video resembles these two games more than anything else. It IS your wishful thinking, nothing else.

I agree, George's license to print money doesn't look to be expiring anytime soon, especially with the original trilogy and Lego Star Wars II hitting in September. I just wanted to make sure that those who've seen the video know exactly what it is.

So, here's the thing... it just looks too easy. My biggest gripe with JK 1/2 is that once you get powered up, you're basically invincible. You can take on whole rooms of enemies, or whole squads of Stormtroopers... and you're lucky if you take a single hit. Especially with your auto-reflecting lightsaber.

My guess is that won't change much.

I don't see HOW that could be Kotor 3 in ANY way. Kotor didn't deal with targeting at all. You picked an enemy kill him and move on to the next. Not skamming them into friends, targetting environment materials to crush people with, etc.

I don't like beat-em-ups where all you do is kick or punch the same combo and move on in the game. This reminded me of that, except it's lift-and-bash or push-away. I know it's just a trailer, so maybe there will be a lot of variety in the gameplay. But I always approach Star Wars games suspiciously.

I was thinking this as well BECAUSE you can work with the force and be neither a Jedi nor a Sith. Those two are training methods thought to better tune your ability. I see no reason someone can't be a force sensitive individual and be capabile of doing things beyond what the sculped Jedi or Sith can do. Doing a force choke/push combo with those Troopers is an excellent example.

It was wierd but I felt sorry for the Stormtroopers. I'm still hoping this is a Bioware RPG. Kotor was one of the first Star Wars games that actually added something to the universe. (this not include the old pc flight sims)
