Mmmm... Cell shadey... Wonder how it will play? (not many people would have guessed killer7 would be 'on rails')

Seconded, that does look amazing.
Now if only they could do away with the cheesey voice acting...

Thirded!
The voice acting was fine, just the dialogue was awful, hope that it gets fixed :)

Is it me, or did Helter Skelter sound a lot like Dante?
Suda51 really seems to have a thing for awkward english voiceovers. (Espicially in Killer7)

I'll be impressed if they can get these effects out of the wii, this looks like a bit too much for it to handle.

Ummmmm. I don't know exactly what I just saw. I mean, if it was a tv show, yeah, looks great. But I don't really see where the gameplay will be!

Haha, I have almost the complete opposite opinon of the game then everyone else. The graphics (which looked like it was an ingame cutscene) didnt look all that great (stylish yes, but good looking no) and the voiceovers are some of the worst I have heard (dialougle wise and voice acting wise).
As far as I am concerned this just saved me $50 cuz now its one title I dont need to buy.

I see lots of strong opinions based on one little video...
Personally, I'll just wait and see how it all turns out. :D

If they leave the japanese and plop subtitles down there, maybe.

Iwarzu, Travis and Susie spoke English in the Japanese version but it must of been really awkward because they ended up distorting it and adding subtitles (funny how you can almost make out what they're saying, I think Iwarzu is saying "It is dangerous" instead of "We're in a tight spot".)
And while the trailer doesn't give us a lot to go on, I'm really happy it looks like a spiritual sequel to Killer 7.

Yeah... That Trailer just didn't do it for me.
I'll be waiting on the gameplay footage methinks.

What exactly is "good looking", if not stylish? I don't understand how stylish and good looking arent mutually inclusive.
Part of the reason for more developers using cel-shading in their games is that you can focus on giving the game it's own visual metaphor, removing the pressure to create a perfect representation of the real world.

I'm almost positive the video is just a target render, so I wouldn't get too excited about the graphics. Early Killer 7 vids also looked better than the final (terrible) game.
And if it's anything like Killer 7 they haven't even started on the gameplay yet, so who knows how it will play. Looking at the rest of their games I think it's safe to predict "badly".

Japanese games can't escape from anime cliches, it seems :(

I think they used a text to speech program for those voices.

That's correct. One of them is "whisper" on the Mac, for Travis IIRC.

I'm confused. What are they trying to sell me here? A fighting game? A shooter? The style is pretty neat looking, but do scripted cinematics really do it for anybody anymore?
The first word that came to my mind after watching that trailer was "silly". Whoever said they're waiting on actual gameplay footage, I'm with you.

Lightersaberesque game coming to Wii.Might be noteworthy if the in-game sword was genuinely slaved to the controller, but Red Steel seems to have popped that bubble. Or did I miss your point?

Red Steel does not have lightsabers though. ;)

I Got it :D
It is going to play out like a cross between Killer7/Mist. Now the question, would you play it?
