Castle Crashers Announced for XBLA

Behemoth (creators of Alien Hominid) today announced their new game Castle Crashers during the Comic-Con, a side-scrolling old-school beat'em'up for the XBL Arcade.

Xboxyde has lots more screens and an awesome trailer. Unfortunately the game isn't coming out until next year.

I really hope this comes out for another console as I don't really want to get a 360. However, with this and Gears of War, I'm starting to consider it...

Yeah, Golden Axe, but funny, over the top, and like 10 more kinds of awesome. I'm super psyched about this. I think we're going to see a few more games along these same lines in the coming months. Co-op is the big thing, and the fact that you can boot it up and play for fifteen minutes and then quit.

I had heard about this a while ago, but at the time, it was only coming out for the PS2, with the possibility of being released for the GameCube and maybe the XBox. I did a quick search and found this: http://ps2.ign.com/articles/673/673756p4.html. the article is dated 12/2005, so I'm guessing either Behemoth's plans changed and it's only being released for XBLA, or they are still releasing it for other systems but instead of going for the XBox, they are putting it on XBLA.

Yes, Beheamoth finally gives details of their new game. I loved Alien Hominid (Got it for gamecube, and I actually might pick up the Ps2 version on the cheap as well for some tasty co-op with friends). It does sort of look like a crazy flash version of Golden Axe.

Can't wait for this one to hit.
