I am sure most of you are aware of this but just in case some of you missed it Cloning Clyde is now available to download on XBLA.

More info Here. (http://www.xbox.com/en-US/games/c/cloningclydelivearcadexbox360/)

This game turned out to be a hell of a lot better than I thought. I highly recommened it.

Did they ever send out any of those "party in a box" things they were advertising last week? Because I never got my coupons.

Im finding it odd how Microsoft seems to be favoring a couple indy dev houses... why no new blood? ( FYI, this game is from the group that released that Space Station sim game... ).

The Gamerscore Blog (http://gamerscoreblog.com/team/archive/2006/07/18/536228.aspx) mentions it. I guess they had so many requests that they are doing a random lottery for a few hundred of them for people. They said they would draw the names "shortly"

Ahh... wonderful. I was pretty much counting on that to justify picking up all of the Marketplace stuff I wanted. Guess I won't be buying something, either Cloning Clyde or Street Fighter.

What is the game like?

Judging by the screenshots, this game seems to borrow heavily from the old PC puzzle game, "Humans". I thought that was a great game at the time, so perhaps this one will be worth checking out as well. (Especially with the multiplayer--that sounds promising.)

You couldn't of honestly expected Microsoft to give away an infinite amount of points for free.

You weren't going to be buying something anyway apparantly...you were trying to get it for free.

I recommend downloading the trial to get a feel for the game. I didn't know anything about the game, but after trying the demo I immediately bought it.

The game is a platformer/puzzler. It's fairly heavy on the platforming side, at least in the early levels, with the puzzles being fairly simple. Basically you control Clyde and jump around environments breaking security bots and collecting stuff. You can also control clones of Clyde that you either create or stumble upon in a level. Switching between the clones is super easy and not confusing at all. Also, you can mutate Clyde to have the powers of various animals/objects like bombs, sheep, chickens, and frogs.

The game is a riot. Definitely check it out.

Ya, I just expected them to put up more than "a few hundred", considering the response for the last points give away (which they screwed me on, btw). Originally I had planned on buying Street Fighter (which was said to be 400 points, instead of 800), the Kameo Hard-Pack, and Small Arms. But at the time Small Arms was supposed to be coming out in July, now I'm confused as to whether it'll even be out by August. I dunno, I'm just confused, they keep shifting around release dates for games that seem to be done, they run crappy little promos like this that never seem to work out, and they don't give hard-dates for game content like the Hard-Pack. Makes it kind of hard to budget.

Well considering the XBox Live Arcade wednesdays was the first time any official release dates came out for arcade titles I'm not sure where you got the other ones.

Small Arms isn't coming till Sept/Oct from what I've heard.

Christ, complain some more why don't you. Common sense should tell you shit doesn't always go as planned, things change and the world doesn't revolve around your every want and desire. deal with it.

Dates are never set in stone and anyone who considers themselves even remotely interested in gaming should know this. Just because the price of something is posted on Gamespot (where the original price list came from) does not make it fact.

He's right man, you're getting bent out of shape about what essentially amounts to like 20 bucks total. If you really have to "budget" spending 20 dollars on some games on XBLA, you're most likely insane.

Here, I'll tell you how you budget your points. Every month, buy one set of 1600 points. That's 25 bucks, once a month. If you decide you dont need points because nothing of interest is coming out, then dont buy them. It's really very very simple. I have a low paying job and I manage to make what little cash I have last me for extremely long stretches and I get to eat, buy video games, and go out.

The fact that it is taking awhile to get some more stuff on the Live Arcade is frustrating, but just be patient and everything will be ok.

I had to file bankruptcy because I bought Frogger on live.

You get $5 for shooting dogs? My neighbor has 3 dogs, I'll bring them over and we can split the 1200 points 50:50! I don't want to know what you do with them to get the points, so please don't tell me.

He just doesn't want to pay more than he has to. I completely understand.

That 20 bucks you're talking about could buy me food for a week.

I'm dissapointed. It might be a fun game to play a level between other games, but it's not that great.

Did you purchase it without playing the demo first?

Yes and I've learned my lesson. It's still a decent game though, and I'll probably play the multiplayer in between Chromehounds sessions, it's just that I expected more from the singleplayer.

Agreed. Not worth $10, that's for sure. The humor in it did get a few chuckles from me, though.

Also...did anyone else go blind trying to read the text in this game? I mean, I don't have the biggest TV in the world (30" widescreen HDTV), but I found the text to be waaay too small.

Haha I was doing the same thing. I told my self "Hey, soon I will have my 1000 points and can get Cloning Clyde." I guess thats not going to happen... Guess it is time to whip out that credit card again.

I really liked the demo, I just don't see myself playing through it much. Maybe when I beat all these other games...
