Hey, Carnivale Season 2 is out on DVD! That's cool. Reminds me that I should... er... return Random Violence his season 1 box set.
/shame.
Edit: Oh shit, don't forget to throw Cloning Clyde on that list!

Neither Blu-Ray or HD-DVD are ever going to see Pee-Wee Herman, and this is why they will fail.

Haha, yeah, that'd be nice :). It's great that it intrigued you enough to be interested in the second season (though it blows compared to the first). I've got a new mailing address. I'll PM you the details.

Valkyrie Profile is on my must buy list. Yes, I have a PSP, and I actually use it a lot. Back when I was in the market for an mp3 player I looked at everything and said "Well, I could buy an iPod and a DS, or I could just buy a PSP." I went with the fewer electronics solution. I only have so many pockets, after all.

Nope, that'll be happening in about two weeks here. I'm in Minnesota for my limbo period between schools. How far away from Boston do you live, Bap?

Just noticed the "(XBLA)".
Hrm, nice having that defined seperately than XBOX360 actually.
From the few shots I saw of Cloning Clyde, it actually reminded me of Earthworm Jim.

Between 4 and 5 hours. Depending on Traffic. I'm about an hour from NYC.

Am I the only one that wants NCAA Football?
Also, will probably try to see Lady in the Water, Monster House, and Clerks 2 at some point or another....

I did...until I played the 360 demo. Maybe the full game will be better but the demo was un-impressive.

I usually head into the city every month or other month. Maybe we can have an EvAv meetup. I know there's a few others.

Absolutely. Let me know before you head here next time and I'll PM you my cell #.
Also, I absolutely agree with all the Brisco County Jr. sentiments. A well overdue orgy of Bruce Cambell gun slingin'.

Shit, I need to see Clerks, before I see Clerks 2. Seen everything else within the viewaskewuniverse. Not much in the way of games. Super Dragonball Z came out last week. I was contemplating getting it, but I still have Tenkaiachi kicking about. Anyone know if the Cricket game is any good?

Going to support Kevin Smith. I would like to see him win the weekend, long shot but would be cool.
Clerks 2. I'm there. Enough said.

That would be cool but I doubt that would happen, there's something for everybody in theaters right now. Lady in the Water for the film school crowd and people that don't know any better, Monster House for kids and families, My Super Ex-Girlfriend is your date movie for the weekend, which leaves Clerks 2 for us deviants.

I'm going to wait for the reviews on Clerks 2 before I say anything about it. Jay and Silent Bob were minor characters in that movie and frankly, they should be minor characters in this one as well but with each successive viewaskewverse movie they have been more and more the center of the movie. They are funny but what made Clerks good wasn't Jay or Silent Bob. At least, that's what I think.
I will be seeing Lady in the Water regardless of the reviews.

Clerks 2 and NCAA 2007 in the same week? Yippie!
Although, the NCAA 2007 demo did leave me wanting more.....but let's just hope they spent too much time on polishing the game and too little time on polishing the demo...

Hey whats wrong with Lady in the Water? I love M. Night's stuff!
This looks like a fun week: Clerks 2, Lady in the Water, Cloining Clyde, NCAA 07 (if the reviews convince me the full version is better than the demo...)
Hoorah! Entertainment for this boring summer... I want to go back to school! Being home for the summer is far too painful...

He's quickly gone downhill from intelligent, engaging films with some weird twist to mind numbingly boring movies with a lame predictable twist. I think the Robot Chicken parodies of M. Night sum him up the best.
With that said it looks like he got the crappy twist out of the way in the previews this time. Last year the previews made it look like some kind of romance between some lonely guy and a chick that lives in his pool. Now the previews appear to have changed and the lonely guy is now caught in the middle of a war between the pool people and the lawn monsters. What a twist!

Ugh, too many kiddie games coming out for the DS. Hurry up with the good games! Seems like the PSP is getting them (shoot, the PSP comes out with more games than the DS every week). Meanwhile, all the good looking games seem to have "Q4" next to them in reviews, so instead we have to get mostly things like Hi Hi PuffiYamiYui and Miss Spider and Yet Another Soduku...
On another note, it's interesting to see that in the last 8 weeks, over twice as many PC games have come out than any of the individual consoles, and in fact there have been nearly as many PC games coming out than all of the consoles COMBINED.
Who says PC gaming is dead...

While Lady In The Water and Clerks 2 are definately on my "to see" list, I'll probably wait for the DVD release of both. Monster House looks kind of cool, but I doubt I'll rush out to see it in the theatre.
As for the games, nothing really piques my interest. If you have a PSP and don't own two copies of Valkyrie Profile for the PS1 *whistles innocently* then you most definately should be picking up VP: Lenneth as soon as you can. One of the best RPG's to come out and very different from probably any JRPG you've ever tried.
Looks like another week of playing Chrono Trigger on the SNES and playing random PC games every evening.
Last night: Dawn of War and Freespace 2.
Tonight: Who knows?

Oh how I dread going to work tomorrow. There's going to be people lined up out of the friggin' door to get NCAA Football '07 tomorrow. For all intents and purposes it will be our areas Madden since this is college football country. It'll be great for the stores revenue, obviously, but we'll be incredibly busy I'm sure. And I would hate to know exactly what might happen should we run out (which, since I'm closing, I might get to see).
Also, it's possible that no one here cares about this particular item, but the film ATL is also coming out tomorrow, and judging by the amount of people who came to the store just for the Madea movies, could be huge in our store. We'll see though, I suppose.

Question? Since we are on the movie subject.
Since Superman had a son in Superman Returns how long before the "New" Superman dies. I mean come on they have to be setting up to the eventual wedding of Louis & Clark followed by his death. Sounds kinda out there I know but thats what you do when you think too damn much.
