Comic News: Joe Quesada to Appear on Colbert Report

I was reading the newest Joe Friday column (http://www.newsarama.com/NewJoeFridays/NewJoeFridays05.html) at Newsarama (http://www.newsarama.com) and was quite excited by this little bit of info:

NRAMA: Joe, something that's going around the Internet - are you really going to be a guest on the Colbert Report on July 27th?

JQ: Yup, seems Marvel Civil War is everywhere these days!

NRAMA: You a fan of the show?

JQ: I’m a huge fan of the show, both Colbert and John Stewart are brilliant, I watch them both religiously. It’s the best stuff on TV. I can’t wait to be "nailed" by Colbert! Hmmm, that didn’t come out sounding right did it?

This should be good. Anything to bring comics into the mainstream eye.

Hooray! Bringing comic nerdity to my favourite show = awesomeness.

Did anyone catch Colbert on Conan the other night? He makes most of us look downright normal. After about 5 minutes of full blown nerdcore action, he turned to Conan and said, "The scariest thing is that I have bred. Twice!"

Quesada is probably my least favorite comics personality, I think he runs his mouth too much. However, it's nice to see comics getting this type of exposure. I wonder if Colbet is a comics fan. I hear he's a huge Tolkien fan...like knows-the-elvish-languages-scary kind of fan. So, he at least has some geek in him.
