In Phoenix, Arizona, we are under extreme heat conditions right now - 115 for the high, 93 for the low (that is right, our low temperature is hotter than most of your high tempatures). What does this really mean? NO YARD WORK - MORE GAME PLAYING! To save my health, the grass will remain uncut as I play SpellForce 2 (if you like the orignial, you will like this one), and a bit of City of Heroes. You folks in cooler climates, what excuse are you going to use to avoid yard, I mean, protect your health, and play more games?

Prey arrived from Gamefly yesterday, I only got to play for an hour or so. I haven't been able to play anything this week because I have been putting in overtime at work so this will be a play heavy weekend. I will play through Prey and after I have had my fill of it I guess I will force myself to finish X-men. :( Toss in some DS games here and there and it should be a pretty nice weekend.

Hope to finish Kameo this weekend, and I'll be damned if I don't get any better at Frogger. Other than that, I have to paint the shudders. Blah.

Well, I occassionally try to play The Ship, only to find myself frustrated by the bugs, disconnects, and crashing. I need to play the LOTR: BFMEII demo on my 360 at some point. Other than that, I'll be MUCKing, and probably screwing around with the SNES Megaman X games.

I am hoping to check out Prey on the PC this weekend, and then who knows, maybe some WoW inbetween, some Oblivion too.

Shit, I need something pronto. NSMB still has me, but I need something fresh. I may have to go 'hunting'.

I'm getting my PS2 back from a friend. I just picked up Guitar Hero, so I'll be impressing digital crows with my musical prowess.
If my hands need a break from the axe, I'll play a bit of WoW or Brain Age. I'm hoping for a quiet, relaxing weekend.

I just got back into playing WoW, and I got my girlfriend playing with me now. So I imagine that will suck up a lot of my free time this weekend. *sigh* Blizzard and their addicting games.

I traded in a bunch of games and DVDs and got a DS Lite and New Super Mario Bros. That's about all I'm playing.
Oh, I'm reading too. You know, books. ;)

Titan Quest and maybe some RE4 on the PS2.
Just got my 360, so I've got some Ghost Recon, Table Tennis, and Full Auto to play. After that, I hit the Live Arcade for some Geometry Wars, Smash TV, UNO, and Hexic. Next, I finish Prey, and finish the Egyptian portion of Titan Quest, then I may move on to Rise of Legends if time permits. Sounds like alot? It freaking is, and I cannot wait.
I might pause for a few rounds of Guitar Hero, I dont want to get rusty.

I wanna get a new DS game that's good for a trip. I have NSMB. I was thinking Mario Kart but there's probably something better for a trip, and I'd put off getting mario kart until later (since it's internet play wouldn't work).
Any of you guys played BattleGrounds 2? It's a revolutionary war mod for Half life 2. I've been playing that, the graphics need some work, some of the level design is mediocre, but it is a lot of fun. I'll probably be playing some of that.

Prey and BTME2 Xbox 360 review code arrived in the post today, so I should think I spend some time with those over the weekend.
However I'm sure I'll be spending more time online with the ChomeHounds squad I'm a member of, or just spending ages designing new mechs. Most fun I've had on Xbox Live for a long time. Probably play some Over G too.

Just got TBFME2 in the mail from GameFly, so I'm going to concentrate on that, unless Prey arrives tomorrow. Plus some Mario Kart DS.

I just played about 45 minutes straight of Baby Park trying to get a sub 10 second first lap. I have sat down to do that about 50 times never getting closer that 10.100 Spurn you Baby Park.
I am aslo 2 levels into Ice Land World 7 in new NSMB. I really shouldn't have purchased those expensive touch screen backgrounds after a single playthrough. I suppose it has incidently increased my star coin collection longevity.
Without doubt right up ther there SMW but different ya know...
*EDIT* And Kaddar I spent about 2 hours the other day trying to get 20 stars in the card match mini game in NSMB between that and Pink bomb Black bomb (hint hold the DS Brain Traing / Sideways / Gangster Style and Pink bomb Black bomb becomes a lot more enjoyable. Up Down > Left Right flicks.
Does anyone else use a combiation of stylus flick + ds tilt for that game?

Nothing. I haven't played a single game in two weeks. Probably the longest I've gone without playing anything in... geez... 8-10 years?

Going to the Bahamas for work this weekend so probably only play on the laptop. Thinking some Broken Sword, King's Quest 5 and just got my hands on a translated Dragon Quest 5. Gonna give it a shot.
Aside from games, I'll try to finish City of the Dead and catch up on some Champloo.

Chromehounds almost exclusively (perhaps with a dusting of Prey). For a game I was decrying as crap after playing the demo, this thing sure put its hooks in to me. I'm having a real blast with it.

BFII for X360. Can't seem to put the game down!
I played Frogger for about a half hour last night, and frankly, I was really disappointed in the graphics. Updated graphics?!?! Come on! I thought they were joking, and there was some secret "unlockable" graphics code.
Frogger looks like original Geometry Wars to me. When I purchased it, I guess I was expecting the level of the new Geometry Wars, graphically. Hell, the game only takes up half of my TV!

Still mourning my return from Sweden, and I'm back to work tomorrow. I'm planning on finishing Chrono Cross tonight, or soon enough, and then I may start on Psychonauts and one of the JRPGs I have lying around. I also feel compelled to replay Silent Hill 2-4 for some reason..

Finally getting to sit down tonight and start on RE4 for the Gamecube. Taking breaks from that to play the Sega Saturn version of Duke Nukem 3D that I just dug out of storage, and if I need something else to fall back on, I'm probably going to play the first Half-Life at Kef's suggestion.
Just a comment: I was digging through my old Saturn games, and I came across two that I thought were insanely good games for their time, and never got remakes/sequels on a better platform. One being an Action/RPG called "The Legend of Oasis", which I've beat 3 or 4 times, and it still never gets old, and the other was a Survival Horror-type called "Enemy Zero" that I to this day think needs a next-gen remake. Anyone heard of those?

Do you know if that's related to Beyond Oasis at all? That was an AWESOME Genesis action/RPG. I was reminiscing about that game the other day.

Chromehounds
After finishing Prey after only two evenings of play (it's not short, just really too easy), I'm going to have to go find something new to play. Maybe I'll pick up Spellforce 2. I never tried the first one. If I don't, I'll be playing Rome:TW, trying to finish the Greek campaign (not easy when the Brutii and the Egyptians are hemming me in from both sides).

If I can pry the DS out of my wife's fingers, I'd like to play some NSMB and MPH. If not, I guess I'll play some Metroid Prime 2 and Splinter Cell Chaos Theory.
If Nintendo wanted to rule the world, all they'd have to do is have a buy-one-get-one free deal on the DS for all married couples. Then we'd all be too busy playing Brain Age and wouldn't notice Nintendo marching on our cities.

Homeworld 2, X2: the Frontier and some Call of Duty 2. I am quite sure I will also throw down a couple of levels in Oblivion. Picked up Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door the other day, so I will most likely get in on some of that. Probably some multiplayer sessions with friends.
I also finally have all three Thief games and have been meaning to play through them all in a row.

Finally got my XBox 360 this week! I had $400 of "free" Amazon GCs that I got from taking a couple Cisco classes via Global Knowledge - so it was a no brainer. Plan on breaking it in with a rented copy of Prey. Other than that, I've already discovered Geometry Wars and Smash TV.
Although, most of this will have to wait until Sunday. My financee and I are headed to Chicago for a "field trip" for her humanities class to the Museum of Science and Industry to check out the Da Vinci exhibit. Considering I'm driving from Lansing, MI, that's a good 8 hours just on the road (there and back).

I also finally have all three Thief games and have been meaning to play through them all in a row.
I hope you have downloaded the texture packs (http://www.graphics-by-john-p.com/textures/Thief-DS/index.shtml) for Thief 3. It makes the game so much better (and truer to the first two games). No more glowing doors and treasure.
You're in for a treat though. Thief games > almost everything else ever.
As for me and my games, I'm going to be stuck inside at work this weekend (hopefully) as the temps are supposed to be in the mid-40 degrees Celcius with the humidex this weekend which means there will likely be a lot of DS playing going on. I'm actually looking forward to being at work this weekend as there is air conditioning there as opposed to my piddly fans at home.
So I'll be slowly working through the Hard difficulty of Ouendan and also getting a bit further in Trauma Center. Trauma Center isn't near as insanely difficult as it seemed back when I started it. That, or I'm just getting better :)
At home, I'll likely be spending all my gaming time playing the copy of Chrono Trigger (that I got from Skjef this week) on the SNES . It's been so long since I actually played through this gem of a game that while I remember a lot of the general story points a lot of the details are fresh for me again. I tell ya, after spending the last few days flaked out on my couch playing with an SNES controller, my other consoles sort of pale in comparison. That, or I'm in a full blown nostalgia attack.
I'm planning on playing it and then moving on to Chrono Cross and playing THAT again and actually getting the good ending this time.
I'm also teaching my two year old how to play Super Mario on the SNES, much to my wife's chagrin. He's mastered jumping but movement needs some work.

I'm enjoying Prey on the X360 quite a bit. It's very trippy.
On the PSP I am really getting into Race Driver 2006. I'm usually enjoy arcade driving games like Burnout, but Race Driver is a nice change. Very realistic and more like Gran Turismo. Excellent graphics and lots of cars to play with. I will also get in some Field Commander, which is also excellent.

I'll probably be playing the Titan Quest Demo and reading. I picked up "Hyperion" the other day on a recommendation from the EA crew. My wife is hopefully getting me "The Anansi Boys" by Neil Gaiman for my birthday.
Have a cousin and brother in town to visit my sick father so I'll be spending a lot of time with family.
Probably won't be able to part with the money to buy Titan Quest unless I can find a crowbar! - Gawd, I'm a cheap basstid! The little Scotsman in my head says "Wait 'til it drrrops ta $29, ya stoopid git!"
Did the Chromehounds demo ever come out on Live? I was looking for it today and I couldn't find it.
Edit - Further more, should I just bite the bullet and pick up Chromehounds? It looks pretty fucking sweet.

Beyond Oasis and Legend of Oasis were both great. Saturn had some just all around top notch RPG style games--Dragon Force, Dark Savior, Panzer Dragoon Saga... hell I even dug the more "average" adventure/RPG games like Shining Wisdom and Albert Odessey. Mr Bones, though has to be one of my all time favorite odd games. Everything about that game was just fantastic.
As for me, it's probably a weekend of Hexic and Burnout Revenge on the 360 and a little Animal Crossing DS (summer is here and insect collecting abounds). Nothing overly interesting, but entertaining nonetheless.

Mmmm, games!
I'll be playing more Prey, BFME2 and MotoGP06 (with gameplay that went from ok to Awesome to tuff as balls in about a 10hr period). Maybe I can crack the 10K achievement mark this weekend.

2) Super Princess Peach (DS)
3) Resident Evil 4 (GC)
4) Space Megaforce (snes9xTYL)*
5) Soul Calibur II (GC)
6) Fire Emblem: The Sacred Stones (I'm surprised I still remember where I left off :D )
I also snagged a copy of Trauma Center for my DS, but I'll wait until I manage to finish or put down one of my other games to play with this one.

I've been meaning to play through Grim Fandango again but I have no idea where my copy is. I think that my copies of Grim Fandango and Curse of Monkey Island must have eloped and gone off to have babies on some far-flung tropical island... OF THE DEAD!
Good call on the game though Perigon. It should already be in your top 5 list of adventure games BEFORE you play it. Actually playing it will raise it ever higher.

My one complaint thus far is the controls. You can't configure them, and if I were't using a gamepad I'd be going insane. I only have a six button pad too, and there are seven buttons total, so I miss the option to skip a dialouge. Not that important, but it is handy for when you keep accidently clicking something.
Overall, still a great game so far.
EDIT: This is yet another reason I need to buy a wired 360 pad.

Of course, real gamers play Grim Fandango with a keyboard... using their tongues.
