We have a lot of new faces around here so the Staff (http://www.evilavatar.com/staff/staff.html) thought it was time to refresh everyone on the rules of a news submission. We've been getting a lot of mismatch news posts that are too long, too short or too inflamatory.

Please review the news submission guide Here (http://www.evilavatar.com/forums/showthread.php?p=102892#post102892) for full instruction.

By following this guide you will have a better chance of having your news submission show up on the front page in a timely manner.

Thank You!
The Evil Avatar Staff

Hehe, at least I remember to turn off my sig before posting news articles now. The staff page is pretty cool. You should let the EA community write out the bios for everyone ;).

Actually that's a pretty cool idea.

My problem is that I'll post something that someone else did days earlier.

When you're posting, look in the "Additional Options" under the submit reply button. There you will find a checkbox to include your signature or not.

Edit: Ok, so when you're posting a new thread or news article, the button will not be "Submit Reply", but you get the idea ;)

You forgot about bad linking (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Click_here). ;)

But seriously, I hate that.

And this post came right after my news submission about Madden 07 for Wii. Coincidence? I think not. Though in my defense, while my original submission had 2 quote paragraphs, a TON of other news posts have in the past and that "one quote paragraph" rule was just added today.

No need to be paranoid there! This was not related to your news post about Madden (or any of your other posts). Rather, it was decided to revisit the 'problem' (and I use the term very loosely) so that we're all on the same page. That's all. Nothing more, nothing less.

psst - who's that behind you?

I'm paranoid by nature. I tend to think that everything is my fault somehow. :p
