Shacknews (http://www.shacknews.com/extras/2006/071206_xbla_summer_1.x) has an excellent preview of the next 4 Live Arcade titles we'll be seeing every Wednesday.Galaga and Pac-Man represent Namco's first venture into Live Arcade. When questioned by an audience member as to the possibility of seeing Ms. Pac-Man on the platform, Canessa was noncommittal, but he did let slip that Namco classics Dig-Dug and Rally-X are likely to see release at some point. During the event, I was able to get some hands on time with each of the currently confirmed titles...

Cloning Clyde sounds really cool. I'm all over Galaga and the wife has already asked for Pac-Man. Oh yeah...there's that Street Fighter game. Excuse me while I go apologize to my wallet.

Cloning Clyde is the ONLY place for for co-op chicken beating action this summer. Fucking. Right.

Nice to see them releasing new games on Xbox Live Arcade. Only problem is that I can see myself buying all of them. Damn them!

Purchased Frogger yesterday evening. I suck at the game. Thoroughly suck. Something so seemingly easy, I am unable to grasp. Oh well.

Bought Galaga on my Treo for an exhorbitant price. I couldn't resist. Sure would be nice to be able to play it with a full controller, though.

Not really excited about old games that have no graphical or gameplay updates but the orginial ones and those that have added features make me very very happy. Really wanted SF widescreen but I will cope as long as the online works well.

If Capcom/MS have been able to sort out the lag issue with SF2 then that game will be massive!!!

If they haven't been able to sort out the lag then they will be in for a lot of flak!!!

Don't expect Street Fighter 2 to not have lag. DOA4 is a $60 title and it's laggy as hell.

Christ, UNO is laggy as hell.

Excuse me while I go apologize to my wallet. And that's the great thing: even if you get all of the Summer of XBLA, it's $35.

I know. I am expecting lag. Just hopefully not too much :)

This is why I'll never see Live as a service worthy of a fee.

Really? Despite what the others said, I have never once had a single problem with lag during an online experience over Live. They've been as pristine as possible. Dunno why my experiences would be so different, but there it is for you.

DoA4 is one of the worse examples I'll admit, but fighting games are also one of the things I really want to see done right on a console. When I tried with both DoA4 on the 360, and Guilty Gear #Reload on the ol' Xbox, both were no where near as smooth as I'd like.

Never had any problems with FPS games, but I'd rather use my computer for that.
