We're back with another Evil Avatar Radio interview (http://www.evilavatarradio.com/audio/EAR.Interview.Geoff.Keighley.mp3) for you. This week we're talking to Geoff Keighley (http://www.gameslice.com). Geoff's work in games journalism is available across a stunning number of sources and variety of medium including Official Xbox Magazine, Gamefly.com, G4 TV, and his newest venture, Game Head on Spike TV.
Want to know if he's really Canadian? How he got onto G4? His take on the Spike Video Game Awards? We got you covered. This is a short one and definitely worth checking out. Give it a listen!

Cool look forward to listening, he's a great reporter, well in his articles at least, but there's just something that bugs me about his interviewing, mostly just the G4 coverage then again that network makes everyone seem annoying...god I miss Techtv!

Yeah, I'd agree that his G4 stuff seems less good than his written articles. His Game Head interviews are genuinely quite good though. Hope you dig.

I cant stand that guy. Not only is he annoying personally but there was something he said in an article I read. No I cant remember what it was, Im pretty sure it was in a PC mag of some sort though.

Well that's vague. That said, I completely disagree that he's annoying. In fact, he's absolutely one of the nicest guys in the gaming industry I've dealt with so far. I was super-impressed by how cool and down-to-earth he was.

I actually remember listening to this interview and saying to Kef: "Man, this guy sounds like a genuinely cool cat." So I'd have to concur with Kef on this.

G4 is to game journalists what Saturday Night Live is to musicians. No matter how good you are, if you go on there the best you can do is 'not totally suck.' G4 has a lot of annoying jackasses, Geoff and Victor Lucas are not in that crowd.

I am downloading it now but I have always liked the guy, as far as I am concerned he is the only good thing about G4. If this world was a fair and just place he would leave G4 and it would burn to the ground in a painfull storm of flaming stupidity.
As far as the radio show goes you guys really seem to be on the ball. I have weeks of back shows I am trying to get to and you guys keep coming out with better and better shows. STOP!! I need some breathing room :)

Grifter, wish we could slow down, but we're going too fast and the terrorist said that if we drop below 40 MPH the site will blow up!

Well, to be fair, everyone else was a total dick.

I've not been a fan of podcasts, but since I've started listening to yours that has changed. Good work on getting interesting guests. Keep 'em coming :)

I need to listen to this as I missed most of the interview. He kind of skirted around my question but he at least answered it :)
As long as he puts up his hand at the Spike VGA meeting where they decide the game of the year and says, "Um... maybe it should be a game that has actually been released this time." I'll be happy.

Downloading now, seeing as how I've always liked Geoff.
It's always nice to see people in the games industry who are quite personable and still know what they're talking about.
