This game looks very nice, it also appears to have some nice eye candy. I miss some good space type games like this, I hope it ends up being a good one.

This is why we need more space games.

Is it just me or does that screenshot look a lot like Homeworld?

Is it just me or is that not a bad thing at all.
Seriously though, this looks really nice, and I would argue that the ship designs are very distinct looking as compared to those from Homeworld. Plus, it is a space ship RTS, they can only vary so much.

Arcade-like gameplay?
Man... If I wanted space-arcade I'd hope for a Galaga remake. Hopefully my giant space fairing battleships aren't flippin' b*tches mid-battle.

Looks interesting. From the descriptions it sounds like a hectic RTS.

It seems their art designers are "Ok, you've seen Homeworld...lolz, we can make our game look exactly the same"

This shot (http://www.evilavatar.com/images/previews/image.php?image=www.evilavatar.com/images/previews/genesis/GenesisRising04.jpg) in particular screams Homeworld. But hey, if they can even come remotely close to the greatness of HW then I certainly won't be complaining. I've got to say that the ship designs look great, not at all your standard fare space ships.
Looks hot and if it plays like Homeworld, but a bit more "arcadey", all the better.
Now, where's that Elite remake?!? ;)

"Modification of organic units on the fly" sounds awesome... it sounds like more than just research & upgrades.
"Cross-genre mix of the best elements from strategy, RPG and adventure games": I hope this means units gain experience and levels throughout the match.
The only thing I don't like the sound of is diplomacy and trade... that kind of thing is cool in 4x games, but it sounds like it might slow the action down a bit... Maybe not =P. Anyway, those screens look killer. Count me in!

Comme on ppl this is much more than HW which comes down to researching and building bigger ships faster than yer opennent, and strike first. this may be a bit more interesting. and oh my god ships are made from something else than steel and iron. how can that be?! anyway, hats of to the HW, but its time to step aside. theres a new guy in town.
