He's not mad about being ambushed, if you watch it again or more, as I have.

He may be a bit testy, but that's because he's frustrated. He's trying to explain throughout the piece that you have no frame of reference for understanding why magnets repel, and all his other examples lead into the thrust of that argument.

He even concludes by saying he's not going to be able to explain it.

Basically, it's a deep question. The electric forces that result in magnetic repulsing/attraction are 'spooky' to we who live in the world of aggregate electric forces and average quantum effects which add up to the physics we understand naturally.
