MS has set out to forcefully shove vista down the throats of people, I don't see an XP version happening.

There'll be no "action", it's a game about a man (named "Alan") trying to stay awake :D
...give us Max Payne 3, already!

Your so full of shit it's disgusting.
The only "Vista only" game is Halo 2 and it will probably stay that way for a couple of years after Vista launches. I can see a possibiliy for Shadowrun being Vista only but it's unlikely. So far you have a 2 year old console port to help get it in peoples homes and possibly a multi-player only FPS using a butchered license. Who gives a fuck.
That's funny. I could have sworn that a lot of the next gen games will need DirectX 10.
If that's the case, they will have to on Vista because nothing else will support it. It all depends on what hardware the game is being built on. I doubt Alan Wake was built from the ground up with DirectX 10 in mind, but most games coming out in the next year will be. I can almost promise that Crysis will not run without it. I'm betting that the Unreal 3 engine wont run nearly as well without it.
And while I'm being critical, it's you're, not your. I can let a lot of spelling and grammar go, but that one bugs the fuck out of me.

ah yes, that's why when you go to www.alanwake.com you see a big fat "exclusive for windows vista and xbox 360", and a "Microsoft Game Studios"?

Everytime i see the title "Alan Wake," it makes me think "Van Buren," for some really weird reason.
And then I get really sad.

Ms tech monkies explained somewhere that DX10 is built for vista to take advantage of the new driver structure or something in that vein, making DX10 for XP would limit its potential for hardware and software developers.
And the Crysis videos you all saw were on DX9...

I like the fact that there are pretty blue skies and majestic fir trees in this. Welcome departure from Generic Dystopian Future and Some War You Werent In.
Oh, and it looks like developers are jumping on the DXX bandwagon sooner than we all thought. Crap. :(

Do they even have the game up and running? I've been seeing the same stuff for a year now. Not a hater, just a big Max Payne fan wanting some more Remedy.
