Shacknews (http://www.shacknews.com/) has posted word of Trauma Center: Under the Knife and Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney for the DS are being reissued. Trauma Center is slated to be available at retail outlets towards the end of July, while Phoenix Wright can be purchased immediately at Capcom's website. (http://www.capcom.com/nintendoDS.xpml)

Nice. I can finally get my hands on Phoenix Wright without paying through the nose.

Update: Evidently the game has been sold out on Capcom's site as it's been removed.

Sweet, I've been trying to find a copy of Trauma Center for a decent price. This is good news. And for those who missed Phoenix Wright, its a good thing, as the game kicks ass.

Neither game really seems like my thing...I might have to check them out from GoGamer though.

Both awesome games.

Unfortunately this means that the collectors value of both will be going down. :(

There are very few video games that are collectors items. The only one I know of for sure is Wing Commander Kilrathi Saga which, if you have new and in the foil, goes for something like $400. Even used copies tend to be sold close to $100.

Hooray! Granted, I own both games, but this means my friends can stop bugging me to borrow my copies and find their own.

I'll grab Phoenix, as I already have Trauma.

Wing Commander: Kilrathi Saga has a weird, weird history.

And anyways, its value should have gone down the drain, because DOSBox made it quite obsolete.

Both are available by the bucket load in the UK. Says alot about the taste of games for the masses.

I still need to get both. But be sure that I will.

Panzar Dragoon Saga is another one from what I hear.

There are a handful of games that got for 60ish that are quite old, like Rez. I remember there was a list for the 10 rarest games on like gamespot, and it was a great read. Things like Chuck the Chuckwagon, and the super rare Nintendo 15 in 1 thing.

Despite the hype, I thought Phoenix Wright was pretty weak. If you're looking for something different, you should give it a try, but I just couldn't get into it.

Phoenix Wright now available at a decent price? SOLD.

*grabs her card and orders as we speak* Every time I tell myself to just wait I miss the shipments. I'm NOT waiting now.

Yeah, I just ordered my copy of Pheoniz Wright. I'm usually a "wait 'till it's $20" person when it comes to games I'm not sure I'll like, but in a case like this I'll pick it up for $30 (plus shipping) for the sake of actually being able to find it.
If it continues to be as rare as it is then it'll be too much of a pain tracking it down later.

Sequels, sequels!
I have a friend that speaks japanese, he's already played through the 4 original "Phoenix Wright" for the GBA (under a different name, of course).

Meanwhile, the second game will only come out on the DS in 2007 :(
I wish they'd translate it faster, since the game doesn't change at all graphically, and the stylus isn't really necessary (but it's cooler to play with it).

And the next Ace Attorney game will have a new main character. I wonder what it will be called...

The fourth game that is being released in Japan soon has a new character. The new Phoenix Wright game we're getting is a DS version of the second game in the series, with Phoenix still being the main character.

the original Ogre Battle is a rare one that goes pretty high also. Also Final Fantasy 1 in a box with the manual can go pretty high, or any of the Zelda's with original packaging. My friend has PD saga...the lucky bastard.

Pheonix Wright being re-released is good...any chance anyone knows the price? Will it be cheaper?

Here's (http://www.gamespot.com/e3/e3story.html?sid=6150969&pid=933086) the one we're getting.

And I too will be buying ace immediately.

Should I check out trauma center? Is it worth a full sticker price?

There is no Phoenix Wright at that Capcom link. Is it sold out already, or were they supposed to even have it up?

I just tried Phoenix and it was $999!

Phoenix Wright has been re-re-released as of a few weeks ago. According to ncsx.com, Capcom will be re-re-re-releasing the game again sometime in August.

I'm glad I ordered my copy when I did, since it's sold out already. Thanks for posting this as news, because it's what got me my copy : )

I ordered it when I saw this news right as I woke up today, glad I didn't hesitate again like I did when it was originally released, hoping it's as good as the word of mouth.

Ok... I'm confused now. We're not getting the one with the new main character?

I'm not saddened with this. I just hope that the Phoenix Wright that we get (as indicated in the Gamespot article) will use the different capabilities of the DS more than the first North American one did. It didn't really kick into high-gear, DS-gimmick-wise, until the last case.

As for Trauma Center, I heartily recommend it. It is rather difficult, but I'm enjoying it, wierdness and all. I'm not sure if it was because of playing it on the Lite or the fact that I've taken a 2-3 month break from it, but the surgery I was completely stymied on earlier in the year fell before my precision cutting techniques on the first try last night. Yay! I can finally get further than the middle surgery of the second episode!!!
