Damn. I was hoping it was a demo that was single-player.

Yeah, got this earlier, was just waiting for info on it. Posted at www.relicnews.com now as well.

I've got this title in my gamefly que. Is there any fun at all or should I shoulder it out for something better?

Well, I'm a Relic fanatic, so my answer is yes. I had a hell of a lot of fun with the single player. You get to level pretty well everything in the game... it's a smackload of fun.

Thanks for the quick review. I'll have to finish up KH2 tonight and get it in the bucket.

This game is quite fun. The major review sites didn't give it a good score (like 6.5), but I think they were way off on their scores(by about 1.5). It also has Co-op, which in my books always makes a game that much more fun.

Should I try the Outfit or Mercenaries first?

I love The Outfit. Especially the multiplayer.

Yeah Outfit was a "fresh" game. Something worth playing through at least once and checking out the multiplayer. Too bad not too many people play it. :(

I totally dug the demo. I played it with my neighbor, and since I never read anything up on it, I was surprised to say the least (I thought it was an FPS  gotta keep up on my research ;)) It took a while to hack and slash our way to understanding things, and once we understood, the strategies just unfolded in the quick paced arcade-style shooter. Thumbs up on the "freshness" factor

I picked up the game and liked it, but other games came and tore me away from it. I would certainly be interested in getting back into it at this point if I could get some good games.

I loved this game, and recently started playing online again. The multiplayer experience is absolutely phenomenal. THere's nothing else like it, and it really is just a metric fuckload of fun.

Who else plays? Maybe we could get a "night" like Tuesday Night GRAW going. Then I could actually play with some people who aren't 12 the whole night. That's the biggest problem. I'll have this outstanding games with people, and then have to roll with a bunch of fucktards.

The Letter 3:

Well, I'm biased, so I'd say The Outfit. I loved Mercenaries as well. They're really two totally different game types.

The Outfit's all about using multiple units (emplacements) as the anvil, with your lil squad as the hammer.

Mercenaries is more you against all the baddies.

I think I've played one game of The Outfit multiplayer. Everytime I try and fire it up, my daughter's all "TANKS DADDY TANKS" and climbs into my lap to take over the controller.

I don't know why but I hated the multiplayer. It just felt wrong to me, I enjoyed the single player game quite a bit.

Really? Because I started to get bored with the single player to some extent. But the multiplayer is really what hooked me to the game. Maybe you were trying to solo a bit to much? Not knocking your skills, but I see people online get frustrated, and it's because they don't use emplacements nearly enough.

No it wasn't an issue of soloing or trying to play FPS style., I can't explain it really but it just didn't do anything for me. I'm an achievement whore and I couldn't force myself to try for the multiplayer achievements. I did get grouped with tards most of the time which didn't help, but even when we won it was just sort of meh for me.

Some of the things on the patch list sound interesting, I might revisit the game again at some point for the achievements.
