GameBrink (http://www.gamebrink.com/) brings us yet another Japanese review...

The Guilty Gear series is one of the most refined fighting game series yet. The latest entry is Guilty Gear XX Slash. It is mostly just Guilty Gear XX #Reload with new characters and minor changes to character movesets and a few balance issues. This is basically the same for XX #Reload, which was mostly just Guilty Gear XX with a new character and some minor changes to movesets. So does XX Slash justify buying for fans and newcomers alike even if it’s basically the same as XX #Reload with a few changes? Here are my thoughts on the game.

#Reload was great, but this doesn't seem to offer much. None the less... I do want it.

That might be one of the most poorly written reviews I've ever read. It comes off as poorly researched and indecisive. The Cons list:

"* If you already have another GGXX game it might not be worth it
* The few changes might not justify a whole new game"

Decide, damnit. Isn't that your job? Tell me whether you, as a player of GG think that I should buy this game if I already own one.

"Since I don’t know much about the move changes and the changes to make the game more balanced, I’ll at least talk about the new characters."

Um, shouldn't that be something you should find out about if that's supposed to be one of the selling points of this game?

No online Multiplayer?

At least it's not Itsuka.

I have been playing Slash on my Jap PS2 for a few months now, and absolutely love the changes from #Reload. Anyone who loves Guilty Gear, and I mean LOVES Guilty Gear, will need to own this as the game is much tighter and balanced. Casual Guilty Gearians will be just fine with #Reload.

I want this to come out on the 360 with online play. Basically #R with less lag. I played that a lot. I'm too cheap to import /, too...

Sounds hot. The GF and I still haven't plumbed the depths of #reload. Looks like we will have something to switch to when we do. :)
