For your Friday viewing pleasure we uploaded 7 new screenshots (http://www.evilavatar.com/forums/showthread.php?t=14235) of NHL 2007 from EA Sports (http://www.easports.com).

You'd think they would have released this stuff during the playoffs when people were more interested in Hockey.

The new season begins in about a month, doesn't it? The hockey and basketball season seem to last all year, while football only gets 5 months. :(

This picture looks really great. If it were in-game footage and not replay action (my suspicion), it would be even better.

EA hockey sucks, where's the 2k7 pics?

And, yes, that isn't in game footage, otherwise it'd be unplayable since the camera angle doesn't allow you to see where you're going. I wish they'd quit tweaking graphics and actually make the gameplay work. We all play in the overhead view anyway.

The hockey games are filler though for when hockey teams aren't playing. I'd be interested to know how hockey games sell in the US.

So true. EA hockey could be photorealistic, it would still play like a game designed by monkeys that have never SEEN a real live hockey game before.

This looks way better than NHL 2k. The players in 2K all look like they overdosed on donuts and are wearing velvet jersies.

And as much as I hate EA, I would have to say the devs of NHL2K6 (Kush Games?)have never SEEN a real video game before. That game was full of bugs. I'd say they spent a grand total of 0 hours on multiplayer testing.

Given that the monkeys:

1) are mechnical, assembled entirely from recycled Wheaties boxes.
2) are programmed to make everything feel like a marketing campaign...even the taste of Wheaties.
3) think that every conceivable cool move should be mapped to a single controller button event, and should require absolutely no skill whatsoever to perform
4) <just to be sure> are dead.

In this case, yes. I totally agree.

New season begins in October. Training camp begins soonish though.

There are some major problems here..

1.) No shadows on half the people on the ice. Hopefully that'll get fixed because it looks like their fly around like superman.
2.) WTF are developers using the white edges crap for?! It was in Oblivion and it's in this game. It looks FUCKING RETARDED!! DUMP IT!
3.) the God damn crowd is so cut-n-pasted it's PATHETIC!! WTF. I didn't know a woman could give birth to 100 people who looks EXACTLY THE SAME. That's certainly got to be worse than birthing twins!

Does NHL 2007 have the overhead camera angle? I've seen it in a commercial for the XBOX 360 version, I just want someone to confirm this for me. Thanks.
