FiringSquad chats with Titan Productions co-founder Brad Foxhoven about their company that is marketing game development deals to Hollywood, including a recently announced title based on the classic crime film Heat. You can check out the interview right here (http://www.firingsquad.com/news/newsarticle.asp?searchid=10810). Here is a snip:

FiringSquad: The release of EA's The Godfather got mixed reviews and was not as big of a sales success as was first imagined. How will this release affect what you plan to do with Heat?

Brad Foxhoven: Godfather had big expectations – possibly too big to ever reach. Plus, they didn’t have Gearbox, and I think that this is a strategic advantage. We are also watching Scarface, and hope that does well for obvious reasons. In the end, we are also competing with other heist games. So, we need to be extra good at this to make sure we get above the noise.

If you are referring to Heat, I really think you should watch the movie again.
It's got great actors, a superb script and the best shootout ever in a movie.

Other than that, I am not sure what to expect from a game ... so I will just expect a shitty game adaption to save myself the pain ... ;-)

All these movies are prime for action/adventure games akin to inidigo prophecies.

All these movies should not be made into games. The best thing to do would be to develop a game simultaneously with a
movie and go in a different direction than the movie. Not years after the movie is released just to milk the license.
